I have 12 close friends at school. Six of them are really close and we get together a bunch, but all 12 of us hang out throughout the day. I'm friendly to everyone and don't try to judge people before actually meeting and talking to them.

Well I am homeschooled but I did go to public school for a while.. those friends are not really my friends now though. I would say I have quite a few outside of home so I am not really a loner.

Hello angel!

I've had lots of friends when I was in high school and that was when I was really social and excited to meet other people. However, when I got out of high school, I only have a few of my close friends who still stay in touch with me. It's always nice to know who your real friends are no matter what as you grow up.

I would say I have about 25 "friends" but about 3 good friends. When I say good friend I meant the sort of people who would go out of their way to say hi and hang out even on their day off from college.

I disagree with the way I see friends being used. I don't think we should automatically use friends to mean offline friends, since online friends can often be much better friends than the people in our lives. 

In our real lives, the people we become friends with are from a restricted pool of people in the area, so there's no guarantee you'll find an awesome friend. Online, however, you can make some of your best friends and I don't think less of anyone whose best friend is online. 

So when the question asks how many friends I have, I'm changing my answer. No one who goes online and makes friends online should have to answer that they don't have friends =P
