This month's Speed Run competition is for 'Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse' for the Sega Genesis. You can play it here:

The point of this competition is to beat the game as fast as you can. This competition is a way to celebrate the remake of 'Castle of Illusion' that comes out early this month for PC, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Wii-U.


RULES:
You must play the game on Normal difficulty. No cheating of any sort.


MEGA Competition:
This is going to be classified as a Mega competition because not only do 5 people get prizes but there's also cash prizes.


VIDEO REQUIRED: You must post a video of yourself accomplishing the score you submit. You must use the RGR Plugin's built in video recording capabilities. The video submission has to be a single video, it cannot be broken into parts so if you recorded it in parts, be sure to merge them into a single video.


RULES: You MUST play the game using the RGR Plugin in 'Timetrial Mode' and take a screenshot of the ending screen by pressing F6 when you've completed the game. To play in 'Timetrial Mode', scroll down the page where it shows the Speed Runs, you'll see a link that says 'Click Here to Compete for Speed Run', click that. Once you've taken your screenshot, click the link near that one that says 'Click Here to Submit your Speed Run' to submit your speed run. The video must be uploaded to the vizzed youtube account. The video submission has to be a single video, it cannot be broken into parts.


Prizes:
1st = US $50 or 75,000 Viz
2nd = US $25 or 37,500 Viz
3rd = 10,000 Viz
4th = 2,500 Viz
5th = 1,000 Viz

Davideo7 :   I have a question!! You can select difficulty level in this game, would we have to play it on the Normal mode?

Awesome-Kid : Under the RULES section of David's post, it says you must play the game on Normal difficulty and no cheating of any sort.

I was having a bit of trouble with video for a while until today, but not anymore, thanks to a different Media Player and Firefox that I have installed today and now I seem to be hardly having anymore problems soo far!!


Yeah I absolutely love this game, I have played it once when I was 6 years old that was like 18 1/2 years ago??  Back when I was 6 I've played it on easy mode too of course just like every kid would!!    And I was sick too when I`ve played this game, man I wanna be sick now LOL!!


But yes I am playing on normal now just like the rules says, but I'm pretty much gonna try this game on hard mode after this competition is over LOL!!
