I think I am correct by putting this thread in this forum. Does anyone remember the show Video Power? I believe it came on every morning or so and it was all about games! The host's name was Johnny Arcade, an over the top announcer for the greatest game show ever. If you were a kid in the 80's,  and you owned any video game system, then I am sure you remembered it. And you had an interest in video games and a tv of course.

So, do you remember it? I think this question is geared to the older generation.

TreasurePlanet23 : I just looked up some clips on YouTube and this wasn't the show I was thinking of.  I don't think I ever watched Video Power, but it seems like it was a fun show!  I used to watch a show in the early 90s about video games and it would actually give helpful hints about the games.  I remember watching them show how to get past a tough part in Maniac Mansion and it was a really cool, helpful show.  I can't remember the name of that one though.

I have never watched it before, mainly for two reasons.

1. I was born in 1996 and I think the show ended long before that.
2. I'm Icelandic, so even if it was still on, I don't think it ever aired there. The only video game based shows I've seen in Icelandic is Mario Super Show, (8 episodes) Zelda (2 episodes) and Captain N (1 episode)

My post is pretty much going to have to be identical to kramer4077. I was 12 in '89 and I can't remember this one. I do think that I saw the show that kramer remembers though. Sorry...

kramer4077 : Was the show that you remember hosted by the guy that hosted Double Dare?
Maybe?
