So I was wondering what every one's favorite game series is and why?  I'll start with mine.  My favorite series is the Dragon Warrior (Quest) series.  This is my favorite series because I enjoy the battle system of all the games I have played so far and I love the depth of the games.  My favorite in the series so far is seven.  This was the first one I played and it got me started on the others. I also enjoy the side games Dragon Warrior monsters.
   Also the little blue slime is really cute  

My favorite series is probably going to be Banjo Kazooie(often ties with Mario) because I like the music, graphics, story...everything a game needs. Controls are also nice.

My favorite game series would have to be Pokémon. It is often a good series because of how simple it is to beat the game. Whenever you get a Pokémon game, all you have to do is just get 8 gym badges from the region's league, destroy the Pokémon terrorists (Team Rocket) and then beat the Elite Four and defeat the region's champion.

1 - Classic Sonic Games
2 - Mario Games
3 - Classic Pokémon Games

The classic games are usually better than modern ones. I mean, all Sonic is now is bad games, and Pokémon is running out of ideas, and it's just... not fun anymore.

The whole concept of collecting monsters, and battling them just seemed exhilarating to me at the time it started. It still is. Even with all the changes and added features in the later years (2 on 2, 3 on 3, new Pokemon including newer ones that evolve or pre-evolve forms from the past, vs. seeker.) I'm still a huge fan of this game series.
Grand Theft Auto:
Got every game from this whole franchise. My Top 3, Grand Theft Auto 3, Liberty City Stories, and San Andreas. Just dying for the fifth coming out next month. Just like the idea of committing crimes from the couch.
Saints Row:
Same reason. Committing crimes on the couch, Fighting gangs, plus extra stuff to do.
WWE:
Just like to take my anger out on wrestlers I hate with my CAWs. Bad day at work, Cena's my punching bag. Dude cut me off on the road, Curt Hawkins is getting it. A girl wanna act ghetto with me, I'm about to give The Bella Twins a whole bunch of reasons to quit. Mostly liked every game till they went Smackdown vs. Raw. Story lines were mediocre especially 1 where Candice Michelle had a magic wand, and it just made the whole story line bonkers. Really did like WWE '13 when they added the Attitude Era. Just wish the newer WWE games add the ability of fighting in the backstage areas. Like going on the entrance stage, and just leaping to the concession stand part, and just other areas all around the arena (Parking Lot, Locker Rooms, Restrooms, Hallways, ETC.)

I would have to say the Donkey Kong Country series. I just love how the game plays, and the graphics are great! I might go back and play them now!

~Pikachi~ : I disagree.  I think that Sonic Generations and, to a lesser extent, Colors, got it right.  I've had a blast playing Generations on my PC with an Xbox 360 remote.  There are few glitches, and the levels are well designed, although the levels borrow heavily from the games they correspond to.  I think that was part of the reason Generations got it right, though.  Sonic Team didn't try to do too much with the game, but stuck with what they did know how to do.

My favorite game series is Mario. It's about an italian plumber who has to rescue Princess Peach from his archenemy Bowser.

O snap. I forgot about Mega Man Battle Network. Also 1 of my favorite game series. I just like the whole concept and time in their universe. Technology was advance. Imagining instead of buying Norton and McAfee blowing $60-200 a year to clear about 95% of viruses, Your NetNavi could do it for free. Better yet, you get paid to do it yourself and battle chips. Also battling other navis. Not much of a fan of the Star Force though. Unoriginal, game play was just blah, villain names weren't that good. OK story line, but just couldn't beat the goodness Battle Network had. Also Battle Network had better features as every game came out:

Battle Network 2 had the Navi Cust, 3 (Also my most favorite.) allowed Mega man to have element powers which, 4 was mostly based on Tournaments and the ability to have other Navi powers and attacks. 5 let you battle as other navis. 6 lets Mega man interact with the Real World.

My all time favorite game series in the world would have to be ratchet and clank! The first time I asked my mom to buy the game I didn't really know what to expect, but once I did play it I knew that I was in for the adventure of my life! I already have Ratchet and clank 1, Ratchet and clank 2, Ratchet and clank 3, Ratchet deadlocked, Ratchet and clank size matters, Secret agent clank, and last but not least tools of destruction! The series has really come a long way and I hope it stays that way!

i have 3 different game series that i like, first is pokemon, yes im 32 years old and love pokemon, my second is the final fantasy series, i have been playing those since i was 14, and my third is the wwe series, i had them all from smackdown to wwe 12, these series do keep me busy when i play them and i do enjoy them alot

The Legend of Zelda and Mario are probably my favourites! I also really like Spyro the Dragon, even some of the later titles.

Mine would have to be the Final Fantasy series with Suikoden series close by.

I grew up on Final Fantasy games with  FF7 being the first. Now I have played all and I'm trying to get all of the offline ones. I have beaten 9, 10, 10-2, Dissidia and Dissidia 012. I'm working on beating the others. I'm also replaying 9 - 10-2. xD


Suikoden is my new fav series and I played all 5 games plus the tactics game. The only one that I can't beat is 3.

I guess mine would also be the Final Fantasy series. I started with Final Fantasy 2 (US) and never looked back. Now I own 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,12 and Tactics. Also Final Fantasy IV: The After Years. I have multiple versions of 1,4 and 6. Hehehe.. yeah love me some old school Final Fantasy.

Honorable mentions to Mega Man, Breath of Fire, Star Ocean... uhh Mario too.
