So here is the question, why aren't clubs or clans allowed anymore? What was the harm in having them in the first place. Me personally I don't see the harm in having a clan or club where members of a respected clan or club could be summoned to any thread made by members of the clan or club.

Firstly, clans/clubs are pretty useless, seeing as David plans to make a groups feature on the site. Clans are more gaming related, and clubs are more discussion/get together related. At least, that is how I see it. I believe if you search through the development forum, Divine, you can find a thread by David discussing groups from early Spring. ~ Kyle

The recent "clubs" that we've been seeing have been clubs that have no main topic or main interest at all. For something to be formed with no main interest relating to members is pointless and can have potential of being spammy. Also, the rented forums are being set so that people with similar interest can talk about their interests in them. It doesn't necessarily have members, but people meet up to talk about it.

Divine Aurora : Global moderators decided to cancel the club threads, and the entire sub fourm,  This was implimented by current global Jordanv78, and former global pacman1755.  They both agreed on all club threads were getting way too spammy, and didn't have much of a point.
