Well I'd have to say my team would be insist of:
Tyranatar. That guy is like a brick wall. With explosives around it. But the bricks are made out of titanium. Nothing can harm that guy.
Lucario. With high speed, attack and sp. attack, the guys are deadly. That armed with a massive move-pool means that it can take out most Pokémon quickly.
Spiritomb. The guy has no weaknesses, good stats and a great move-pool. That equals useful in any and every team.
Alakazam. He's got the stats. He's got the moves. He's got the... uh... look? Yeah he takes out those Pokémon out with style. 'Nuff said.
Electrive. That guy has the look of a boss. He gets the job DONE. Do I have to say more?
Skarmory. Speed... check. Attack... check. Moves... check. Awesome look... check. Need you ask for more... yeah there could be some more defence, but still.

So that's my team. Tell me what you think.
I have to ask. In team flare, why Quilava instead of Typhlosion?

Hmmm, my team would have to be:

1) Charizard
2) Dragonite
3) Alakazam
4) Darkrai
5) Tyranitar 
6) Mewtwo

I actually have this team on one of the Pokémon hacks in the RGR, and It's damn near unstoppable, all of them are LVL 80 and have movesets to were there is no type we don't have a move that is super effective against it.

Well if you mean my pokemon team for different regions then I only devised a team for Kanto and Johto ( teams would be the same in both ). With the exception of starting with any starter pokemon then it would be. Treecko then Machop then Ghastly then Cubone then Slowpoke then Drowzee.

ClassicSable-eye : I Found some things about Quilava that makes him epic. Some moves which I really like appear in Cyndaquil and Quilava but not in Typhlosion. And about your team I like it. I forgot about how great is Tyranitar both in attack and defense. Also if you wanted a water type in your team i'd choose Blastoise. Like a water twin of Tyranitar. Skamory is also a great Pokemon to choose in your team. Steel and Flying makes it good against ground, bug and fighting types. And since it's a flying type it gives it great speed plus the defense of being a steel type. Overall I really like your team.

Right My team... err I'll just call it Team Mentos (not resembling my username at all!) 

1. Jirarchi - Honestly I got this once as a gift on Soul silver and it was amazing!!
2. Blaziken - In my opinion the best evoled starter and look amazing
3. Absol - Great dark type with a lot of speed
4. Venusuar - Just a Tank has so much HP and Defence
5. Golem - Favourite Rock type, possible the best.
6. Mechichamp - Psychic and fighting?! The best combo in my opinion

Team Bada**: Feraligatr, Tyranitar, Xatu, Misdrevus, Victreebell, Houndoom

Challenge Teams: Team Ice: Dewgong, Jynx, Lapras, Sneasel, Swinub, Delibird.

Challenge Teams: Team Steel: Magnemite, Pineco, Steelix, Scizor, Skarmory, and Kangaskhan (it learned the HMs the others couldn't)

Can't blame you for liking Quilava but why don't you wait until you have the moves on it and then evolve it up? I also considered having Blastoise but in my one of my favourite teams I prefer having no starters, legendaries or event Pokémon so that they are more achievable across the generations and play throughs.

ClassicSable-eye : Yeah I understand what you mean about the evolving situation . And I really understand the how you prefer not to have starters. My 1st team that I made had all my favorite Pokemon which aren't legends or starters ( Absol, Weavile, Scizor, Metagross and Gyarados).
