I was looking into a thread I made over a year ago when I was less experienced with reviewing games. I've created my own template for reviewing games that I'd like to incorporate into a few of my older threads because some of these games deserve the best review I can create. I'd like to suggest that we could at least allow the post opener to edit the first post so that they're able to update or change some of the provided information. One of these that I'd like to change is my Suikoden II review found here" https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=39279

I'm about to build a walkthrough for this game (sometime this week), upload cool screenshots, maybe even a video and more. I love this game almost as much as I love Super Mario RPG. It's definitely top 2 in my collection so it only deserves the best right?

Fireproof : I would disagree, because sometimes things in old posts can be important later on. If it's edited out, there's no evidence. Perhaps the odd exception, but generally I wouldn't think that would be a good idea. Perhaps you could ask the Local mods of that forum to edit it for you?

I do think that a good feature would be to allow Local+ to edit posts after closing a thread. That way, for example, the layout shop thread mlb made in the vizzed market forum could be updated without being opened.

mrfe : At minimum any post is the contributed work of the poster and should be theirs to edit under most normal circumstances. There isn't evidence in most posts of anything, especially that which belongs in a Review a Game Forum. Lastly, if you're trying to maintain the integrity of "evidence" any player could edit their post where it has not been locked yet. I wouldn't accept evidence from a year ago as supporting any actions taken now and I don't think you would either. At worst players could edit out the information they contributed to the Vizzed website and at best players could make improvements to selected older posts.

Also, I don't think rights given to Local+ solves anything. You still run into color issues, text size issues and other problems. I could see a feature implemented so that players could edit their posts but it needs to be approved first before any changes are made. That.. I would agree to and this would be easier than giving this job to Local+ and running into typos, more needed fixes, color problems, text glitches and more.

I really like your last idea! Only changes to posted in closed threads would need to be approved, if I follow you right.

Great idea!

mrfe : Yes, my idea came from your idea so you get a little credit too. I could see this finding resolve in a way that is beneficial to the player and the website under normal circumstances.
