I used to only use Peach because the game's marginally easier that way, but now I switch between Toad and Luigi. Luigi for shortcut abuse, and Toad because he runs faster while holding things.

I'm pretty impatient when I sit down and play this game. :/ I beat it in about 11 minutes.

Unless I need Luigi specifically (one snow level and that level with all the waterfalls in the cave) I use Toad. He's better for picking stuff up and his jumps aren't wobbly.

I think Peachy has the best advantage over all since she can float for a couple of seconds.
