I can swim, however not as well as I used too.

After a recent holiday to Spain, I found that I'm not able to do lengths of a swimming pool as quickly as I used to be able too, and when I was swimming in the sea, I could barely float. Which is kind of annoying, as swimming is something I used to love doing on a regular basis.

In the coming months, I will be doing Hydrotherapy for problems with my legs and lower back, so I will be spending a lot of time in a heated swimming pool, under professional care. I'm actually quite looking forward too it.

I can't swim but I would like to learn!

When I was young (well, younger) I tried it but with negative result and I was about to drown myself! After that, I said "I won't touch the sea anymore!" (yeah, sure !).

Now, with the High School and the homework, I don't have time for this.

P.S: Better if you made a poll about this subject.

I can swim! Very well I might add too. Whenever its summer I love to go the a nearby quarry and swim there or at least two a couple of my buddies' pools. One of my most favorite things to do is just float on my back like a log and just relax.. XD

When I was about five or so years old, my mom took me to a pool for the first time and asked if I wanted swimming lessons. I looked at the pool and said no, it looked scary at that age. Nowadays, when I go into the water, I do try to swim, but I can't really get the hang of it, since I didn't start at a young age. I also get a bit scared sometimes when I go under the water. I am therefore not a swimmer, nor will I ever be one.

I do regret not learning when I was young, it would have helped me a lot and I would have been able to go out and enjoy my summers.

Sure I can. Ever since I was four. Used to be pretty good and fast when I was a teen. As I write this the last time I swam was maybe two years ago though.

Only person I ever knew who was an adult who could not swim was my stepfathers dad. He was an exprienced woodsman and a fisherman but he could not swim. I thought it was impossible but once when I was a kid my mom asked "have you ever seen him go deeper to the water than his balls?" I never did. It was an open secret. I went fishing with him plenty of times but if the boat would have been knocked over, it would have been the end of him.

Well, I can swim but I don't really do swim that often..

If I were in the middle of the ocean, I would sink because it would take forever to get back to the shore. That almost happened on the beach and the current was horrible and I was pushed outward and North. Luckilly somebody saves me at least. That was very dangerous.
