I have around $300 so I can either get the Wii U, or repair my 3DS (triggers broken from Kid Icarus) with many, many games that I want with it. The Wii U is just starting to grow better with announcements and there's so many games that I wanna get on my 3DS. (Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon, Animal Crossing New Leaf, Mario and Luigi Dream Team, etc.)

If you don't have the XL 3DS then get that. It'll probly cost you just as much to repair the older model as to get the newer one. If you do have the XL than check to see if its under warranty still. Either way I'd go 3DS, not a big fan of the Wii anymore.

I is up to you but I agree with smoc, you might as well get the XL model if you have that much and you can also get some games for it. If I am not mistaken, how expensive is the XL again? 200 dollars or so? You could still get a decent amount of games for it if that is what you want to do. It is all your decision on what you want to do with your money. But I think that you should get the Nintendo3ds XL over the wii u in my opinion. There a lot of great games for nintendo 3ds while the wii u only has a few that I like, plus the console itself without any games will pretty much eat up your 300 dollars. It is up to you man, but that is just what I would do with my money.

I think you should repair your 3DS because the Wii U doesn't have a very large selection of games unlike the 3DS.

soldierboi159 : I have a wiiu since launch and I must say I am a little disappointed by it thus far ( true be told the heavy hitter are finally on the horizon ). I would easily go with the 3ds repairs or better yet and get the 3ds xl , like you said you have so many games you want to get anyway : P

Go with the 3DS. The Wii U wasn't as satisfying as I thought it would be. 3DS has a lot of games and is amusing, so, yeah. Go ahead with whatever, but I say 3DS.

I was about to say Wii U but after thinking about it, the 3DS does have a better selection at the moment. I've played Kingdom Hearts 3D, Paper Mario 3D, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, and a few others and all were pretty good. I can't wait for Smash Bros 3D (not to mention the Wii U version)!

I voted too quickly. lol I said the WiiU, simply because handhelds are rarely as good as consoles. The reason they're so popular is because so many kids play Pokémon and they're almost exclusively handheld, and many adults grew up playing those games, or some other handheld exclusive title. Basically, once in every great while, you find a truly great game on a handheld, and the rest of the time you get decent, and sometimes good games.

The way I look at it, handhelds are far behind current consoles, yet you have to pay a new system price. It's kind of just sacrificing quality for the convenience of portability.

Still, I don't like the Wii design, but then, most of the best Nintendo games will be released on it, so it's the logical choice, if you don't mind waiting. In my opinion, the only reason that the 3ds has a better selection of games is because it's had more time on the matket. Give it a 12-18 months, and see if the WiiU doesn't end up putting out more of the better titles.

So...maybe I didn't vote too quickly after all.

REPAIR. The 3DS is AWESOME while the Wii U is a waste of money. Take this info, and consider it.
