Phone App Games in the RGR?

So, I have been thinking lately. I play a lot of games on my phone. I stay on the boards a lot. But I do not go in the R G R that much. I usually only go in there for Net Play tournaments, or if somebody wants to me to test something that will only take a few minutes. So I was thinking... why not add games that are like Phone Apps to the RGR? Games like Minion Rush, Temple Run or Temple Run 2? They are high score games, save-able states, and very interesting and addictive. It could bring even more activity to the site and the R G R. I think this would be a great idea. Especially if you actually link your game to your profile, that way you could send game invites to the people on your friends list on the site.

thing1 : I think that there would be major legal hurdles here that would make it not worth it for David to have those games you mentioned on this site. Also I think that any of these games that you referred to require you to actually save them on your mobile phone to work correctly.

Now if there was a person that wanted to make games that were web apps that could be playable within a mobile browser, that would be a different story.

thing1 : Even though they are "free" they still generate ad revenue for the developers so any usage like that would require us to get permission from those developers...which wouldn't happen

Also, as I had said before, these games are not playable within a web browser as far as I know. The only way they work is to actually install them on a mobile phone

thing1 : I do plan to do a Flash Game Room someday. You can't honestly tell me that the Retro Game Room doesn't have enough games. There's so much in there to discover, more games than anyone would ever need access to. Also there's new games being added all the time.

Davideo7 : I never said that there weren't enough games. Just that it would be a good idea to look into it. I don't go in the RgGR except for when I am doing a tournament. I actually play those games every so often, the flash games, so I'd play the games again.
