Ok, so a few months back, you may have seen my thread about the Vizzed themed pokemon hack that I was making.

The thread was closed for some reason, so instead of getting someone to re-open it I'm just going to update you guys here.  I didn't like the way I was pacing it and decided to cancel it and start from scratch.  With the announcement of Davids new Hacked Rom competition, I decided I am going to start it again today.  I may put up a demo later today, but in order to do that I will need members to sign up for being a trainer in the hack.  The first 5 people to ask for a spot on this thread will be put in as Bug Catchers (for the demo only, you may get a better spot in the final release), along with two pokemon of your choice.  The pokemon should be unevolved, (excluding baby pokemon like Pichu; you can have a Pikachu instead) and no higher than level 8.  A good choice would be starter pokemon.

The hack is going to be based on Fire Red as the hacked rom, so It will start in Pallet Town, to Viridian city, ETC.  It will probably follow the storyline closely, but with lots of changes such as the shapes of towns, wild pokemon, trainer battles, and NPC trades.

The starters will be Dratini, Bagon, and Trapinch, so basically you will be training a Dragon pokemon as your starter (For those who don't know, Trapinch = Flygon, Dratini = Dragonite, Bagon = Salamence).

The Demo will probably include the first two towns, maybe Viridian Forest and a preview of Pewter City.  I don't know how I should distribute the demo though, should I ask for it to be put in the RGR temporarily, or just post a download link?  Please reply with questions and or comments.

Sign me up, I'm not too picky as what I use pocket monster wise in the demo but I'll gladly help out in anyway I can. Let me know if you ever need any help with the story or something.

Would Bug Catcher earth work? 

earthwarrior :  I'm changing most of the titles to just PKMN TRAINER _____, so you won't technically be a bug catcher.  Earth should be fine.

You kind of insult me with this... I'd like to be the eighth gym leader, if not an elite four member.

Kind of just want to bring this up again. So I'm guessing that David will be Lance, and the Globals and Admins will be the E4 members, right?

patar4097 : Yep, that is correct.  I've been taking a couple days off of working on the hack, which is why I haven't updated this thread in a while.

I'd just like to be a female trainer early on in the game, if that's ok. After all, I'm not very important around here, so that role suits me ^.^

I think the main character should be changed to someone who has contributed a lot to Vizzed; like LegacyMe3.

Also, I think route 1 should be changed to have some fences, and the dialogue should be changed some more.
Also, try changing the NES sprite to a keyboard.
Also, yet again, you should probably change pallet town up some more. It looks pretty boring.

metroidhunter72 : I've played your hack a little, it looks very good but I've also some ideas for your hack.

I love to be a Trainer or Gym Leader in your Game. Maybe a Water Type Gym Leader...
Yep that would be something for me for sure! If you like to have me for that role, I like to use 3 Pokémon: Mudkip, Marshtomp and Swampert! < Of course, because I really love Mudkip and it's evolutions! (But I don't want to be a very weak Gym Leader! )

Can I please be a trainer? I would ask to be a gym leader, but I think the more "famous" Vizzed members should be the gym leaders. Could I be a trainer in the gym? You know, the really annoying ones you have to battle before you get to the gym leader. Thanks!

If you don't mind I'd like to be in your game. Any male character would do. I'm not sure what Pokemon though.

metroidhunter72 : I think we should start looking for beta tester to look for flaws as we keep making this, If we don't have any beta tester it's going to have a ton of flaws neither of us noticed while making and playing it. What do you think about this?

TornadoMudkip : In spite of recent events (and in case you didn't know I'm Met's Co-creator on this hack.) I've got a special place for you now, I bet it won't take much to guess it either, Knowing me and my love for fire type Pokémon, I'm the fire gym leader... Oh the Irony.

Metroidhunter72 - I can be the beta tester? I've just started a new game on my game boy adv. Version of FireRed so I'll be able to compare and check for bugs and stuff.

Plus I'm very familiar with the game, like many of you I have been playing since I was a kid.
