I bought "The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion" today over the internet, but after reading the system requirements I realized that I have no idea if my computer can even play it! So I have a few questions, and I'll probably have more when those are answered. Like I always say: I don't know much at all about computers. So try and talk to me like I'm an uninformed 8 year old (don't be condescending though).

First thing's first:The main problem I think I have is the graphics card (idk what that really means). The website says I need a card from one of these...
ATI X1900 series
ATI X1800 series
ATI X1600 series
ATI X1300 series
ATI X850 series
ATI x800 series
ATI x700 series
ATI x600 series
ATI Radeon 9800 series
ATI Radeon 9700 series
ATI Radeon 9600 series
ATI Radeon 9500 series
NVIDIA GeForce 7800 series
NVIDIA GeForce 6800 series
NVIDIA GeForce 6600 series
NVIDIA GeForce 6200 series
NVIDIA GeForce FX series

I looked at my computer's "properties" thing, it says something about a "NVIDIA GeForce4 MX Integrated GPU." So I assume that's not gonna cut it. Can I update it or get a new one without buying a new computer? Can I do it for free, or is it going to be alot of trouble? Any help is greatly appreciated. Let's get this started!

ya know Nvidia GeForce4 MX >Integrated< GPU is like its said an mainboard integrated

this sort is mostly very weak

if u dont want to spend to much money buy an older one like GeForce 6*** Series this ones should be really cheap by now but look up it should have at least 512mb ram so u can play more games

with that series most of the newer games wont work i would recommend a Geforce of 8*** or 9*** series but these can cost between 100 and 300 (im speaking in euro )

also if u intend mor on ati i cant really give u instruction i just know a little about geforce^^
and the gpu requirement is only the gpus they tested with...
so its possible others will work too but not guarenteed
if u have problems in replacing the gpu ask someone who knows how to do it and can help u at your place
and before u buy one u have to check what port your mainboard has
pci-e or agp xD but that shouldnt be hard just download everest free edition it will tell u everything about your pc

i hope i could help if u have more questions just ask
and dont forget to install the drivers for the card^^
