Well, I recommend Pokemon Mystery Dungeon - Red Rescue Team. It's very different from the main pokemon games; instead of becoming a pokemon master, the goal is to create the best rescue team. In the beginning, you take a personality test to determine what pokemon you are. If you ask me, that part is pretty fun; however, it can be frustrating if you're aiming to get a certain pokemon. Then you get to choose your partner. The downside about this is that majority of the story-line -- yes, there is an actual story-line in this game -- will only be able to have you and your partner go through the missions. But in order to compensate, those type-advantage things aren't as effective like in the original pokemon games. The game-play is different (maybe more complicated); you have to go in a dungeon in order to do missions. These dungeons contain several floors and usually the last includes a boss battle at the end. 

I'd include more, but I'm kind of in a rush right now. I hope you do give this game a try though, it really is great!

Glaceonwhisper : If you like a great Pokemon game, I know a couple great games you can try out, like play Pokemon Gold, Silver, Crystal, and Yellow, those are my favorite games to play.

Glaceonwhisper : Pokemon Black and White are pretty good games. The story and depth is just, really interesting. II would try it out. If you're looking for one on the Retro Game Room, try the first one you find. all of them are good.

There's lots of good games and even hacked games! I HIGHLY recommend that you play Pokemon Platinum! Its rating is a 9.6 overall and it is one of the best hacked games out there! Try it out!

Pokemon Light Platinum is by far the best pokemon game here in my opinion. I HIGHLY recommend it.

Pokemon emerald , yellow , red , blue and Pokemon crystal are a few recommended games , I played them I was addicteded and I loved them a lot .

I have a lot of games I can recommend so here goes: Pokémon Ruby Destiny Life of guardians cause of they very fun and long story in it, Pokémon Liquid Crystal (beta 3.3) cause its almost finished and you can get all 6 starters (both kanto and johto), Pokémon Snakewood cause of the incredibly long and awesome storyline in it plus the difficulty, Pokémon Expert emerald (beta 8.0) for the difficulty, Pokémon FireRed Omega cause of the elekid, magby, and smoochum starters, Pokémon Flora Sky cause of the 4th Gen starters and 4th Gen wild Pokémon and the adventure in it, Pokémon Fuligin long story, Pokémon Light Platinum fun and long story, Pokémon Shiny Gold and Pokémon Shiny Gold X version cause of difficulty and a fun adventure thru johto again, And last Pokémon Victory Fire (v1.91) cause of the 4th Gen Pokémon adventure so good luck playing any of them cause they are all great hacks. :]
