I guess i have to add all of them now so a little change in directions. Now take into account the whole series. I doubt many of you have played arena or daggerfall. I sure heven't so i cant choose those. I didn't like morrowind but oblivion and skyrim were boss. So just tell me which one you like better. For me it's Skyrim. Better graphics. I really like how you can become a werewolf. Oblivion is really cool to but it's just not as good. What about you?

I, personally like, Skyrim. Though I do like Oblivion due to it taking place in the Imperial city. Skyrim has to be my second favorite (Arena first). Mostly I like Skyrim more then Oblivion because of the leveling system, and isn't Skyrim bigger?
Though what I dislike about Skyrim, is the loss of variety in weapons, and alchemist ingredients.

I haven't exactly played them both but I have been thinking of playing Skyrim for a little while more that I want to play Oblivion because I think based on the previews I've seen is that Skyrim does have a lot of interesting things with it's features and I want to play it more.

I like skyrim better. I had both of them but skyrim was more addictive and oblivion was not addictive to me to be honest.

Skyrim. I played it first and it was much more addicting. I liked the variety of everything in Oblivion but the alchemy and levelling system annoyed me. Skyrim had a much better feel to it with the superior graphics, sound and the fact that I didn't feel like I'd been in a new location several times before on my first play through. The really fun skills and activities in Oblivion were removed from Skyrim (athletics, acrobatics, the Arena and spell making) but the appalling ones were too. Elder Dragons and Giants are no where as annoying as an Oblivion Gate right next to where you want to be. Skyrim was better no matter what was removed from Oblivion but it was more about what was added to the gaming experience.

I would have to go with Skyrim, because the 30 minutes of Oblivion I have played, I did not like it. And I don't like Skyrim that much either, but I guess Skyrim would get my vote.

Oblivion lags way to much for me even when I play it on a console it still lags constantly I would choose Skyrim over Oblivion any day lag gets on my nerves if it disturbs my gameplay in any way.
I hope they make Oblivion for the PS4 than I'm pretty sure it will not lag much anymore.

Personally I think skyrim is a little better. It has a more "playable" storyline, and besides, who doesn't want to be able to absorb the souls of dragons. I personally have a fondness of using the FUS-RO-DA shout to blast enemies into the air. Also I like the realism in skyrim, In Oblivion you were able to get on a horse and ride it all the way up a mountain, even if it was going strait up or almost upside down. In Skyrim you can still ride a horse up a mountain, just to a more realistic degree.

ankou9000 :
This is pretty much why I liked Skyrim better too, however I haven't ever tried to go up side down on a mountain horse style on Oblivion.

I have to say Skyrim. Oblivion was great though, absolutely. I just love the world of Skyrim. Seriously, doesn't slaying a dragon so make feel so empowered? And then just straight up absorbing that bad boy's soul too? Come on. LOVE IT.

jaws123 : There are rules against X or Y threads. Just change it to Favourite Elder Scrolls game else this is getting closed. :3

My favourite is Oblivion, closely followed by Daggerfall and then Skyrim and lastly Morrowind. I don't like Arena.

jaws123 : Skyrim is awesome, really good graphics relaxing bg music while just wandering around
and so many character paths. Although I like Oblivions DLC better, in them you get epic armor, an entire new map (shivering isles) and you get to talk to a daedra lord, a DAEDRA LORD. Sheogorath is my favorite demon character in all my games. And he lives in a palace.

. But Skyrim offers more to offer I think, so Skyrim it is.

I have played both of them so I can honestly say that each has it's weaknesses and strengths.  As for Oblivion, the main quest is much longer.  But then again, Skyrim is much better looking.  It really just narrows down to if you like a more RPG oriented game, or a more action oriented game.  Quite frankly, I enjoyed both of them and for me, they are a tie.

I have not played much of either. I bought oblivion several years ago and played it momentarily before realizing it wasn't what I liked and sold it within a week. Where skyrim I have only played at friends houses and have liked what I have played so my vote has to go with skyrim.

Arena all the way.

I'm going to have to say Skyrim. Oblivion is massive, but Skyrim is newer and has more powers n' equipment n' stuff. Morrowind is pretty cool, and Daggerfall and Arena are old and suckish. So yeah, that's why I prefer Skyrim.

There was another thread that asked this although did not ask about Daggerfall or Morrowind, actually didn't ask about Arena either. So my vote will still go to skyrim cause its the only one I played more than 30 minutes.

It is kind of sad that almost all the people who posted here so far have ONLY played Oblivion and Skyrim. I personally liked Morrowind the best. I can look past what has the best graphics (younger people have a hard time with that). I think the story for Morrowind was much more detailed and interactive. The main storyline was overall a lot less linear and missions required a lot more strategy and made you really think on your feet. Oblivion and Skyrim could pretty much required no thinking at all to complete any of the missions. It was all pretty strait forward.
