I've always preferred using a pen. Pencil lead breaks so often, sometimes it's impossible to even sharpen them.

A pen for me. I can't stand writing with a pencil and I've just gotten so used to how the pen glides along the paper. I often forget I have an eraser when using a pencil and scribble out mistakes due to using a pen so often.

Yeah, I only use pencil for doing assignments or when I am writing a finalized paper or essay that is strictly not allowed to be typed. I write it in pencil so I can erase mistakes easily, otherwise I would have to scribble it out in pen and it would look messy and unprofessional that way if I had to turn it in like that, so that is why I don't use pen for writing. Otherwise I use it for drawing and taking quick notes. I always have a pen ready though.

Looks like I've been using mechanical pencils a lot. I guess this has something to do with the fact that pencils swells up my fingers with all those splinters in my hands, it just gets absolutely annoying.

I would say probably elementary to middle school I used regular pencils. From Freshman year to Senior year I ended up using nothing but mechanical pencils and i'm still using them now. I guess I mostly use them because I have so many on hand and if I break the lead at least I won't have to get up and sharpen it. I guess that is probably why I like mechanical pencils so much more during high school.

I mostly use pens. I like how they write darkly, well, some brands anyway. G24LYFE It's also nice that it will be there permanently. That prevents it from being erased for some weird reason or another.

Currently I am in college, so I do about 30% of my writing on my computer, but for the other 70% of the time, I will have to go with a pen. I like pens for that and in a drawing that is finished in pen, it looks amazing. Not to say it doesn't in pencil too, but it can get erased, smudged or ruined unless you spray it with the thing that solidifies your image. So that is my preference towards pen for drawing and maybe pencil too, but I mostly use that for writing notes or final essays or papers, because crossing it own in en looks unprofessional.

Before high school, I always used a pencil. Now I am using a mechanical pencil every day, and I prefer it over a pencil and pen. It is more comfortable for me and I don't have to worry about sharpening my pencil anymore.

I use pens mostly, all of our pencil's ereasers are worn out, so there's no real difference. Sometimes I use the keyboard for writing things down since most of my school is done on the computer.
