You should have seen the cicadas. They stay in the ground for 17 years (2013 was one of the marks) then pop out of the ground. They're REALLY loud, really big, they're basically invulnerable, unless you have a godly rock, and I saw them on a tour in Eastern America. You would have burned down the forest.

Bugs don't bother me that much, not spiders, not cockroaches, not moths or any other bugs, I do kill them, but I don't stand back when I kill them, I just go ahead and kill them.

Oh man, I know how you feel. There's usually centipedes and roaches here. If my dad isn't able to kill them, I would start to cry. That's how bad I dislike bugs. Right now, I'm covering up every hole I can find that bugs can crawl into with this tape (I forgot what it's called) that's easy to come off on walls so I can take them off whenever.

Try getting a rubber strip for the bottom of your doors that lead to the outside. And filling in gaps between windows with something, even expanding foam if you have to. If there is even a tiny gap leading in to your house, it will potentially allow dozens of insects in.

You can also try doing yard maintenance and cleanup around your house - if it needs it - especially near entrances. Insects prefer to live and hide near plants/bushes, piles of leaves, debris, and so on... not so much in clean, open spaces. If there are no good places for bugs to live right up against your house, there will be less chance of insects coming indoors.

Also make sure your house is clean, and carpets vacuumed. One of the best ways to attract insects is to have food lying around, including crumbs and trash on the floor. Some insects may even breed and multiply in dirty carpets.

Ugh, I hate earwigs and spiders. They're so creepy. But the only irritating one for me is definitely the ant. There are ant nests all over the street round here. And when it's muggy(at the end of August) they'll all emerge from the ground, with their flying cousins as well! Hate them.

Well, who here doesn't hate bugs? Of course everyone here hates bugs, everytime I comeback home at night, their are lots of huge centipedes that are so fast that enters the house and runs around, and then I get a shoe and try to kill them all! Thats one thing I hate about summer.

I don't exactly hate them, but they are certainly annoying. There are spiders in almost any corner you look it. I recently murdered a family of 10 spiders up on my bedroom window.

Screw you, bugs. Get your own air conditioning.

I don't hate all bugs. Just the ones that are in my house. I'm talking TONS of spiders, really tiny black ants, 9,001 pill bugs, and gnats. I do not live in a state for someone who is afraid spiders (like me). Missouri is covered in them! >.<

Dear bugs, get your own house. Sincerely, User.

First off, my grandmother uses cinnamon to keep ants out of the house and off the counters (they hate the stuff). Also, with ants if you have a piece of chalk and you draw a line around an area that you do not want them in, they will not cross it. These things might work for other crawling insects as well. As far as the flying insects go, try getting netting type fabric to hang from your ceiling all the way around your bed. They do this in parts of the world where the mosquitoes carry deadly diseases and are prevalent at night. Good luck!

Barathemos : If these slugs are attracted to moisture try sprinkling salt down your drain after you bathe. Salt should dry them up on contact. I guess you might be getting them in the bath if the sewer drain line has a hole in it underneath the flooring. If it's a crawlspace, that's even more likely because the leaking drain line would be causing a damp environment down there that they would be attracted to

I live in Florida now, and I am finding bugs here, are at least three times as big as they where in Maine..so I just started keeping a fly swatter near by bed, they seem to get inside all the time, so I just slap the tell out of them when they get to close.  ARM YOURSELF, smack them buggies around!
