This is going to be an ongoing thing. Once every two weeks, I am going to post a new thread with a new contest, so keep an eye out for a chance to win!
To make it fair, first-place winners from past contests cannot win first place again, but they are still able to win 2nd-4th!
I am going to come up with a small plot or whatever, and you have to create your own story out of it.

Rules
- The word minimum is 1,000. Going over is alright, but if you are under then your entry is automatically disqualified.
- You may post one critique per work. Any trolling/flaming is strongly looked down upon.
- If your post layout is hard to read with larger posts, or if you do not have a "scroll" format type for your text box, please disable your layout for your entry post.
- Re-read and spell check your submissions before you post them! If you have too many spelling/grammar errors in your submission, I will ask you to edit your post and fix them. If you refuse, I will disqualify you.
- One entry post per user! If you want to add anything, or edit a part, place *Edit* at either the bottom of your post (changes) or just before you add on (additions.) You are allowed up to three additions per entry.
- Use descriptive, storybook-style writing. If I see *Action Commands* in your entry, you are disqualified.
- Be original! If someone does a Pokémon fan-fic, then do a Mario fan-fic. The only exception I have to this rule is if you post and legitimately did not know that the person before you posted a similar story.
- I reserve the right to add more rules as necessary.

The Given Plot
Create a female character in a post-apocalyptic era. Bullet guns do not exist, neither does Nuclear power. Your character does not have to be human, and can even have up to three special/super powers. You must have two sub-characters (male or female choice), a battle-scene, two different main settings, an overall morale or lesson, and at least one of your characters has to die. Zombies are allowed, as are aliens. You can have a short romance, or one that lasts throughout the entire story. If you do not wish to have a romance, then do not do one.

The Winnings
1st Place - 1,000 Viz
2nd Place - 500 Viz
3rd Place - 250 Viz
4th Place - 100 Viz

If you enter, but do not win, do not worry. All entrants receive a compensation of 50 Viz for their efforts!

Barathemos : Do it! Haha, I hope to attract a lot of interest with this, because I've been wanting to do a writing contest for quite some time. I think it is really cool to see all the different things people can come up with!

This seems interesting. I want to enter, but I fear I won't have the time to complete my story. When exactly is the deadline for the stories?
