Does anyone play Yu-Gi-Oh? I don't mean the video games I'm talking about with real cards. I dug around and dusted of my old deck and cards a few days ago and I was wondering how many people still play. There is a tournament in my local games shop two or three times a week. I will need to get some new cards before I am ready for it but I think it will be a blast, but I digress. Who plays?

Back when I had my job I would buy like a big pack which contained 3 packs inside and a special card. a tuner or the Winged Dragon of Ra, i got 2 dragons. and before my best friend left for basic training he left me all his cards but I live in a small area where NOBODY plays it, so I never get a chance. I would if I could but I can't.

I used to actually play Yu-Gi-Oh when I was younger, played meaning doing actual duels. I had a(n) official rule book and duel mat and my deck was the standard limit of 50 cards or more, although my deck was all spell caster type monsters with a few trap spell and magic cards here and there.

I think it would be cool to play Yu-Gi-Oh with people on Vizzed. It would be pretty hard to do over the Board but I think it could be done.

I used to play with the cards a while back when I was 9-10? I can't remember. I collected all of the rarer cards because whenever I got older I could sell them and make a lot of money! I collected nearly all of the cards back then but ended up selling them for around £700 or something. But, they were great fun collecting them and using them.

Did you have any of the rare cards? I only really played it for them cards.

Now I don't have a lot of rare but I do have around 5-6 thousand commons (including duplicates). I do plan to get more to play in tournaments. Most of the cards I have are from the first two sets.

I still play at Locals twice a week. If you're just getting back into it, I'd suggest getting the Xyz Symphony starter deck and playing that at a tournament.

Also make sure you look up the card values for ALL of your foils before trading any of them. Some of the old ones are ridiculously expensive. Original LOB Exodia pieces add up to over $100.

I've been an avid Yu-Gi-Oh! collector and player for years now. I've built of couple of good decks over the years as well. Unfortunately, I've never been able to face anyone in real life, so my decks just kind of sit there unless I pull them out to structure or edit. Nowadays, I play on  online sites with random people but nothing beats a good old card duel.
