I can't believe the season that my Hawks had this year. It was just amazing. Starting from breaking the record for consecutive points to start a season all the way to Kaner winning the Conn Smythe (Only the 4th US born player to win it) and the Hawks HOISTING Lord Stanley's Cup!

What a memorable series that was. Hats off to Boston, but the Hawks just have too many weapons. They exposed Chara the whole series and showed that Rask wasn't some untouchable like the media would like you to believe. The Pens scored 2 goals on him the entire EC finals...the Hawks scored 2 on him in 20 seconds. He's a great player, but the Hawks exposed him and Quick in consecutive series. Also when Corey is on his game, the Hawks are pretty hard to stop. The triple OT game was one that I will never forget. Probably the most exciting game I have seen in my lifetime.

Shaw is my hero. What a warrior that guy is for taking a puck right to the face at point blank, then coming back in the game face bloodied. My next sweater is going to be a 65 Red Shaw.

It was an all night party for most of us! Thankfully I have the rest of the week off to celebrate with my friends! I can't wait for the parade on Friday. Estimates were nearly 2 million in 2010 when I was there, it could be even bigger this year!

thing1 :  Yes, they won the series 4-2. I remember watching the end of game 6. Boston was gonna win for sure until the final 2 minutes when Chicago scored 2 goals in 36 seconds! Don't know what the goalie from Boston was thinking at the time, but I bet his coached was freaking pissed off. I've always liked the Chicago hockey team, but I have to say I was supporting Boston the whole way merely because of that horrible bombing that happened at the marathon. Would've been a great boost of confidence in Boston had they won the Stanley Cup.

I am pretty sure that after the first game everyone thought boston was going to win the series. Especially after sweeping the Pens.(think that was my favourite part of the playoffs).

patar4097 : I keep re-opening it because this thread is not even a month old. It's not "Old news" this thread is so talk about the blackhawks win. Please stop trying to close it. There's no reason for it to be closed. If someone wants to talk about something other than the Blackhawks winning they can do so in the thread you referenced.

hunter3126: I realize it hurt when the Hawks came back from a 3-1 deficit to beat the Wings, but no reason to be upset ;-).

Kruzer : It was a great series! One of the best that I can ever remember. Oh, btw they scored 2 times in 17 seconds ;-)

mourinhosgum : I'm not sure that people thought that after game 1. Remember that the Blackhawks won that game in triple OT. Then after game 2 Boston tied it up. After the Bruins won game 2 and 3 back to back things looked kinda dicey but then the Hawks rattled off 3 wins in a row. Scoring 12 goals in the process. Everyone going into the series thought that Rask was unstoppable just because he shut down the Pens who crumbled under the pressure. Heck, the Hawks scored more in 17 seconds against Rask in game 6 than the Pens scored the entire series lol. They scored 17 against Rask in the series.

In back to back series against what are supposedly some of the best Goalies in the NHL the Hawks made them look bad.

I was sure we were going to beat you too. im just happy we made it to the playoffs 22 times in a row....lets make it 23 now.
