I just read about Pokemon Champions being the theoretical successor to Pokemon Stadium, and while such information will need to be confirmed (and the game will need to be given a release date more than just coming in 2026) it made me think of a sequel we could also get.

I'd love to see a third entry in the Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD saga. Not sure if I want it more similar to Colosseum, it was more simple and direct whereas XD had too many twists for a direct sequel on the same console. But I do know I'd like a new entry with the story about Shadow Pokemon and the darker theme those games had, they're so far the only games in the whole franchise which are clearly more mature-oriented.

With the 30th anniversary of the franchise coming up, we're allowed to dream a bit more about what we'd like to see. But being realistic, we can consider ourselves lucky if the originals get added to the virtual console.

Furret : Even though I discovered Persona 5 due to my ex and she "stole" Royal from me, between many other shady things she did, I wouldn't mind playing a new entry in the series. The thing is I won't buy a console explicitly for it, so I guess I'll sit back and enjoy from the grandstands

Champions looks really cool! I'm a bit worried that you need in game currency to train pokemon in the game, we'll have to see how much of a pain that will be to farm. But we haven't gotten a good battle simulator game since Battle Revolution for the Wii, this will make tournaments so much more enjoyable to watch.

EX Palen : I agree with the Colosseum/XD continuation. Those games are great and I would love to see more in that style. The Switch/Switch 2 seems like the perfect console for them, but I'm a bit unsure if they will go through with something like this.

Also for Persona, I think there is a high likelihood the game would be playable on PC in some capacity.

Can we please get a Persona 6 announcement already? Besides that I'm also about ready for the sequel to Sonic Frontiers to be announced but I'd much prefer a Sonic Heroes Remake get announced I would pop off so much for that to happen I think that above all else is what I currently hope for the most but I don't believe it'll ever happen but if I'm watching a Direct or something and here the intro to Heroes I will flip out.

I was talking today with SonicOlmstead and we came to the realization that another year means another big announcement for Pokemon! There's no additional DLC that should be coming out for Scarlet and Violet, and an additional update to Legends: ZA shouldn't count as the main release this year. When Legends: Arceus got a similar update it was free and happened not long after, when big releases usually take place in the September-November window.

That really only leaves Generation 10. I can't believe I'm saying that by the way, man do I feel old. The Pokemon Anniversary is coming up in just under a month from now, and that's when they announced Generation 9 last time. I'm beyond hyped to see the titles and/or starters revealed. I know there was a leak with Gamefreak's projected timeline, and 2026 lines up with Gen 10 there as well.

Even though Wind Waker and Path of Radiance, two of the major games I was waiting finally came to the Switch through the NSO GameCube expansion, I'm still holding out hope that Wind Waker and Path of Radiance get a remastered physical release at some point. I feel like I'm beating a dead horse at this point, but in the case of Wind Waker, how hard can it be? Just port over the HD Wii U version and call it a day, lol.

As far as new games go, I'm not really eagerly waiting on/wanting anything to be announced since I still have quite a few games that released within the last 2-3 years to play.

I'm interested to see what direction they decide to take for the next Zelda game since they've officially said they're moving away from the world of BOTW/TOTK. There's also Generation 10 for Pokémon, but with how lazy and awful the last few games have been (looking at you Legends Z-A...), I'm not going to hold my breath until we get a reveal and more information. I finally got around to playing Legends Arceus and it was an absolute blast. It was easily the most I've enjoyed Pokémon since the 3DS era. On that note, I really hope Generation 10 shows some promise... I imagine they'd want to go all put and make it special since it's the 10th generation, but this is GameFreak after all. I wouldn't be surprised if they decided to re-use the chibi sprite style from Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl combined with the flat buildings of Legends Z-A, topped off with the 3 fps frame rate of Scarlet/Violet. Oh! And it'll be $70 with 3 waves of $30 dlc with content/features cut from the base game, lol. I can see it now...

Anyway, the reveal for the next Zelda game and whatever GameFreak is concocting for Gen 10 is all I'm waiting on at the moment.

I'd like to see a 3D Mario game announced. We haven't had a new title since Odyssey (I'm not counting Bowser's Fury as a separate title, sorry). With how big that game is, I'd have thought for sure they would have added a new one by now, especially for the Switch 2. There's barely any Nintendo presence for the holiday season, so I hope they announce it this summer

Call me crazy but I'd like one more Persona 5 spinoff I think arena would be interesting with all the characters from the other spinoffs and such but I would be okay with something entirely new as well.

Any game that would have people lining up at EB Games (Game Stop moved out of Canada) and away from the Book Market Tables on book market day (it doesn't really matter, which game though I say thing mostly because this happened yesterday)

I definitely want to see a new SoulCalibur game announced. It's gonna be eight years since the reboot of the franchise and they stopped releasing DLC years ago, all we've had from Project Soul since then was the port of an old PSP game to home consoles which surely nobody asked.

After all the glitz Tekken's going through and with Harada's retirement looming, this secondary franchise could get some investment and not be left for dead. I know Bandai Namco is all focused on Sparking Zero, but with the announcement of DOA 7 being in development (another game that we could see a release date for soon, given the franchise turns 30 this year) we'd need a competitor and to me that's up to SoulCalibur.

The thing is that unless it comes out for the Switch, I probably won't get it. I won't get any other console because not enough games interest me, and while I could get it on Steam modern games are a pain to deal with thanks to the tons of settings and requirements they have. So yeah, I guess I'm hoping for nothing here, or maybe I'm looking for hope were there isn't any left.

SonicOlmstead : That's a good shout. I just want something from the Persona franchise. I enjoy getting some interesting collab stories on The Phantom X every couple months, but a real game would be even better.

I haven't delved into any of the Persona spin offs yet, so that's another rabbit hole I can get myself into whenever I feel like it. I think because there are so many it does kind of feel like it would be a drag to get through some of them.

I need to see more from P4 Revival as they have been letting us down on that front. Seriously, just that initial trailer? I want to see the art direction, updated/new mechanics, new artwork for characters, etc. Golden is my favorite Persona game so I hope they do it justice.

As for P6... well I mean we are getting GTA 6 so nothing is impossible, but they are taking their sweeeet time with it. Even just a 'yo guys we're like halfway done with it' randomly would be enough.
