Since there are no browser-based emulators out there for either SNES or GBA, I would have to hire someone to help me to take an open-source java emulator for either system and to enable it to be playable in the browser.

I've found a developer but he has quoted this job at $500. $500 is a lot of money so I'll only be able to have 1 of these systems added to vizzed board (and I'm not sure when yet either, that's a bit of money to save up for). If for some reason anyone on the board has java experience and is willing to help do this for free, or if someone has money they'd like to donate to this project (in which I'd pay you lots of Viz in return), it'd be very appreciated.

So the question is, which would be better to have all its games playable on vizzed board?

do SNES.... you'll get a LOT of games and a lot more people coming to play because you have an online emulator for them.

GBA would be good too, but there already is a fair bit of gameboy stuff on the site, and no SNES stuff. Advantage to SNES. Not really any other way around it.

Well to me I think it would be much more better if you put SNES up here instead of GBA games as they have many more fun game like one I really like called super mario rpg legend of the seven stars which is so fun.

GBA would be worth adding just for Pokemon alone but the fact that we already have Pokemon and the fact that SNES has some of the best games out there (and some of the greatest RPG's in history), my vote also goes to SNES.

And as Geeogree said, I do think SNES would draw in more people since more people grew up playing SNES than GBA (and SNES would draw in an older crowd which would be worth it alone).

totally agreed about the older crowd.... the SNES is the only way to go if you want to continue growing like you have.

the Mario genre alone will get you tons of people coming here. SNES is simply the smarter choice.

I voted SNES because some of the best games ever made were on SNES(Super Metroid, Lufia, Super Mario World, Mario Kart etc.) and Snes games are smaller in file size than GBA.

There was nothing truly spetacular about gameboy advanced. Yes it was better then the old. But think about the greats on snes. For one, super mario world was a great game and is very fun to play. Super mario kart also falls into the greats. Donkey Kong country, who doesnt like a monkey, lol. But you should def go with snes, I think it will give you better results

when i was 3 i played my first video game it was mario world. now a days it is hard to come by old classic games like the SNES. sure you could go to some hockshop. but they don't always have what you want. so my vote is for SNES if it counts that is lol. because i would love to play games like mario,Zelda,nijia turtles, and street fighter .

GBA is not retro... SNES is.

I don't see why GBA would do better than SNES. Put the time and money into SNES and reap the rewards from that.
