I'm a new member and was wondering about a couple things i've seen so far. First is if it's possible to trade in the pokemon games, and if so how. And what are all the hacked pokemon games, how are they diiferent then the normal ones?

hoguan is correct, Pokemon trading / battling is not possible at this time.
Maybe in a few months.

As far as the hacks, a few of them say how they are different in the title or description, other then that you just have to play them and see.

Avoiding making an entirely new thread that I'm sure has been made before, I'll use this to add on to the top: What are the order of the games?

Red, Blue, Yellow,
Gold, Silver
Crystal

But after that I lose it. I tried looking it up but there are games on here that aren't even listed on other sites, not to mention all the hacks that people have done. Particularly Pokemon Orange on here, but apparently just plain doesn't exist anywhere else. What is the "order of release" as it were, mainly for this site?

Well, for the "Gotta catch em all" type games, the order of release goes:
Red / Blue
Yellow
Silver / Gold
Crystal
Ruby / Sapphire
FireRed / LeafGreen
Emerald
Diamond / Pearl
Platnium
SoulSilver / HeartGold
