Hello everyone!

So this is my first game review I ever made so don't expect it to be good but I'll try my best! 

So this is my review for Sonic the Hedgehog Extended Edition. So, What is actually so extended about this hack of Sonic the Hedgehog?
To tell you the truth, this is a pretty good hack alright, but this is still a demo. 

This hack still has the original green hill zone levels like the original sonic the hedgehog, but it's extended. 

Well, how is it extended?

You may notice that Sonic can do a spin dash by holding down and tapping A, B, or C, but also if you hold up and hold A, B, or C then he well do another cool dash (forgot what it's called).

So when you start the game, it has a save game feature! and it appears to work fine for me! and not just that, usually in Sonic 3 and normal games, you would have a boring menu and you select the slot, but in this hack you actually control sonic in this cool zone and you select a slot by jumping on the button and then jump on the huge ring, however, you can only make up to 3 slots. Also when you jump on the delete button, sonic will turn gray and when you jump on a button on any slot, it will be deleted so be careful. 

I am not done yet, there is still more. When you start a new game, you will be in a level selection screen for green hill zone. And then you select the act you want to play by jumping on the button and then jump in to the big ring to start the act! You will also notice that after you finish an act, it will change from day time to sunset, then to night time, then to morning time and it looks beautiful!  

Now Lets talk about each detail in the game!

Graphics: 10

Honestly for me, the graphics are the same like Sonic the Hedgehog but it deserves a 10 because after finishing an act, it will change from day time to sunset, then to night, then to morning and so on after you keep replaying the acts!

Sound: 9

In the level selection screen for green hill zone, you may notice that the background music for green hill zone is a little high pitched and it actually sounds pretty good. Makes me just feel cheered up and happy! and when you play an act, in green hill zone then it's the original background music and the boss background music is the same like the original Sonic the Hedgehog. The background music in the main menu for select a saved game slot is also pretty cool and all other sounds like getting rings or losing them... etc is the same like the original Sonic the Hedgehog.

Addictiveness: 6

Well, the game is not so addictive due to being incomplete. This hack only has all acts of green hill zone but if the game gets completed then this for sure would be an awesome game!

Story: 6

It's the same story like the original Sonic the Hedgehog. It's basically Sonic trying to defeat Eggman.

Depth: 9

Well, even though the game is a demo, it still deserves a 9 for having a cool level selection screen and a cool save game slot selection screen.

Difficulty: 3

This game is not hard at all! It's only just green hill zone, a very easy zone but the game will be more challenging if they complete the game.

Overall: 9

This is honestly a good hack. I hope they complete this hack one day!

Actually, I must say that I am rather impressed. This is your first review? It certainly doesn't show. You did really well here.

Now you can expect to hear others comment on this and say it was too short and needed more detail (we'll say that about almost anything under 1,000 words lol), and while it could have more detail, for a hack of a game as well known as Sonic, you really covered everything that needed to be covered and with enough detail to explain everything well enough. Good work.

Wait, this game only has Green Hill Zone? How is there a Marble Hill Zone snapshot at the game page?

Anyways, this sounds like a very interesting hack if completed. Like a Enhanced version of Sonic 1. This is a nice review for your first time. I actually think that you did a good job in explain yourself even if this game is a hack. Here is a suggestion though. Unless someone has been living under a rock, I'm sure everyone knows about Sonic the original game. However, I noticed that you rated the story a 6 and your reason was that it was because it's the same story as the original game, and that's fine, you don't need to say more about the story. But it doesn't tell me how you feel about the original story either. You did a good job explaining addictiveness because this is a hack and you only have 1 stage in the game, but it might be helpful in explaining why you gave story a 6. Did you find the original story mediocre? If this game was incomplete, would you have given it a higher score? Stuff like that can be asked when you prepare your review. This is really good for your first review though. It makes me wonder how you'll do for a nonhack game. Keep at it!

Edit: Oh, and explaining how it is different from the original is a good move on your part as a reviewer. You can tell the differences and expressed them. Good work.

Hacks can be very much fun. I wish that this game would be completed.
