You guys probably get this all the time, but is there a way to recover game data after you've accidentally hit the F4 key and reverted your in-game save file to a state several hours before your most recent save? I was playing Pokemon Fire Red and set my controller down for a few moments and lost a good 4 or 5 hours worth of gameplay :/

With Pokémon games you can Save when pressing ''Enter'' 
You can see in the Menu ''Save'' 
If you press on Save and you say yes by: Would you like to save the game then the game saves

*Le sigh...* I didn't think so... So much leveling lost :/

And yeah, I know how to save in-game; that wasn't the problem. Lol. My in-game save data was a lot more advanced than my save state data; I was using the save state feature to make it easier to catch Abra. Then I went on and continued playing the game for several hours without updating my save state.

When I went and sat my game controller down for a quick break, I accidentally hit F4 on my keyboard; reverting back to when I was trying to catch Abra (doh ). Unfortunately it also reverted my saved game file back to that time so everything I'd done after that point was lost.

Oh well... nothing I can't get back. Just wanted to see if there was a way to recover it first.

This just happened to me on Ash Gray. I hit my save key on the loading screen. -.- Luckily I was only 2 badges in. I hope there is some implementation where we can load earlier saves.  But, I know that feel bro.
