I'm talking about the "25% speed, 50% speed, 75% speed, 100% speed, etc." kind of feature. This would make everything easier for TASers and no-damage runners.  It's also good for hard games like Contra Hard Corps or Legend Of Zelda 2: The adventure of link.  Seriously, Who wants to NOT TAS Mega Man 6 but isn't able to because there's not speed setting?

Dialgaofpower : What kind of purpose would that serve?. no offense,but I see many flaws with that idea. 1 We don't do tas on vizzed,as we speed run we go through the game by beating it at our quickest time. 2 Tas stands for tool assisted speed runs that is just done by cheaters. because they slow the game down and constantly use save states.

Then just don't use the feature!

No offense to anyone here, but the only reason why I would also agree with having a "speed up" and "slow down" option on the emulators, is mostly because like... look at it this way...

Say you're like me and you have played every single Pokémon game for the Game Boy & Game Boy color... years later, you join vizzed and you want to play them all again... but then you notice how annoying it is to deal with the text screens that pop up.

To be fairly honest, I love playing Pokémon... but man, the first half of the game is so freaking slow... it's just like "ugh, come on... walk faster already!" or "ugh come on, SHUT UP already!"

I mean heck, Gary tends to talk a LOT in the freaking game... constantly bragging every single time you come across him, and then before you battle anyone... they decided to blabber and talk to you.

It's like "I already know what you're going to say, if only I could make you say it faster (or walk up to me faster), that way we can get to the battle"

To be honest, since that feature or option isn't on this emulator... I have been playing MOST of the Game Boy & Game Boy Color games on another website... sorry. =|


Not to mention, I don't see any harm done in getting it. I mean, if people don't want to use it... they don't have to. Like, to be honest... if cheaters want to cheat, let them... nobody says you have to cheat, it's just giving you the option to do so. Hence why I constantly do the Missingno glitch, cause I want to... not because I have to.

I don't really know why there isn't an option for this. Most emulators do have options like this but the rgr plugin blocks the emulator menus. (Except for snes games) This most likely won't be added soon. I talked to Davideo7 about this but he tried to avoid my question. 

I do not really see what is so wrong with this. It seems like it is a good idea, if you do not want it then just do not use it.  

We have a speed up feature in the RGR in a couple of systems like the Nintendo 64 and Game Boy systems, but it doesn't do the percentage type of thing you're talking about. On most other systems however, there are not speed-up features.
