So every body is saying that our economy is f***ed up. I agree. I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts on how it could be fioxed or what state our economy is in. Depression, recession, etc.

I believe that the government is going to not do much to help. In the last depression, WWII got us out becauise more jobs opened up to help make war supplies, but not only that, the second world war took the government's attention. The government stopped trying to intervene with the economy and it righted itself. So why can't we learn from history.

Actually ever since WWII we have went straight down the gutter as far as dept is concerned. While the economy might have looked good on the outside it was rotting away on the inside and now we are like trillions in dept with China.

Best way to make it better is start your own inovative business and start hiring people domestically when your business can afford it. Big task but it will help I think.

I've long been annoyed at how our economy works, but I don't think there's much weight to that claim since I'm a young'n.
We've been focusing on the stock market and been making much of our money for not much work. People need to wake up. Big businesses nowadays don't care about our nation, they care about their wallets. They've been outsourcing for sickeningly cheap work in Asia, and we do nothing. People compare our current situation to the great depression, but there's one problem: We used to profit from war. We created millions of jobs from it. All our businesses would drop their s*** and contribute how they could. Now we buy even more work from foreign countries during war, and our businesses and government at home just try not to disturb the happy idiocy of the masses. Nothing at home changes, we don't give war our all. It can't be blamed just on Obama or Bush, but on all the people who forgot that we need to work. The Conservative movement to get rid of regulation is folly. If people were good, trustworthy, and hardworking, then it would be fine, but I think we need to regulate business more than ever. I would even advocate a temporary economic isolationism until we recover. We need to withdraw from the world stage and other countries' problems and deal with the crap going on here.
(I give Obama my allegiance in the same way I gave it to Bush. He's my president, I respect him and his decisions whether or not I agree with him. I don't go all Foxnews on him.)

That whole thing was just a tangled mass of vagaries and may lack structure or logic. Feel free to ignore it
