I have a Science project (8th grade, advanced
class) that allows you to focus on any topic you want, presented however you
want. I would appreciate some ideas (2,000 Viz to the person whose idea I
select!). PowerPoints are not allowed. I am under low budget or even no budget,
but I also want to make my project memorable. Keep it cheap but creative!

I talked about how the brain fools itself into seeing things that are not there.
Particularly when the brain is sane.
It is cheep and easy to do.
I had to buy books and cut out a ton of stuff from magazines and Draw a Dozen Items.
Now ???
You can just print things up from the internet.

You can do it and be done with it in one day.

Remember to reference people by including names of source material and You should do fine.

Is this project something that you will be presenting to your class? And can you present it in any way that you wish?  I myself don't even like PowerPoint any more, so I'm glad that's not an option.  I loved it as a kid, but as a teacher, I absolutely hate it!  LOL

Hey i have a 8th grade science project too. But we can use power point. I think you could do something you know a lot about. So you already have a good knowledge basis. You need to do something you're interested in. For example. i'm doing sharks because i love sharks. I know quite a bit about sharks already so i just have to throw something together.

@Singelli It has to be presented to the class, and it doesn't matter how we study our topics. It could be research, an experiment, or even developing a theory. 

@pray75 I'm interested in every science topic (biology, chemistry, physics, geology, astronomy, forensics, etc.)

Overall, I want to leave a good mark with this project, so I want to make it pretty "rigorous", so to speak. The tougher, the better, but I don't want to have to buy much. Is that possible?

I just did a project for physics where we had to make a prototype that reduced light pollution but maximized the light on a focused area. Maybe you can do a simplified version of this and explain what light pollution is and explain ways to fix it, as well as include a prototype.

The hardest part is coming up with something to do with the project XD

If you want to do a project involving chemistry,
you can easily learn the basics of how a battery works,
and then make a simple one without much effort.

You can also then just have it do something, like lighting up a light bulb.
