Many Franchises are messing with time travel.
I would want to see a Legend of Zelda in the Future like say 2020 or something.
But I think the original Question still stands.
What Franchise should mess with time on a serious level.???

It can be hard to say considering that the majority of games have already done this. If I was to say a series that I wanted to play with time, I would go with Devil May Cry. Perhaps it could have Dante meet his past self. I doubt any of you would actually find that interesting.
Also, you are clearly misinformed as the Zelda series has already played with time travel, the main culprit of that being Ocarina of Time in which Link could change between being a child to being a teenager.

I thought of another one.
"Doom". (Might be interesting.)
"Street Fighter". (A Similar Idea was showcased in a Game called "World Heros" for S.N.E.S.)
"Final Fantasy Sequels" (Like "Crono Trigger" and "Dissidia" in a battle arena....On Steroids.)
"Ninja Gaiden" or the next "Strider". (I got this Idea Making both characters in Soul Calibur 4 and 5. ... They look better in 4. I even made Female versions of them.)

I was really hoping to read some great ideas.

I am still stuck on the "Strider" going through time. Both past and future. (He is already in the future. For those who do not know.)
I thought about making a story to support this a long time ago.
I just thought that if Ninja Gaiden can resurface for the modern consoles..Then the Strider games should come back too.

Time Travel would be a great Vehicle to use to divide up the levels and such. We have not seen a good time travel game in a few years and I think the time is ripe.

What do you guys say???

Maybe POKEMON! This reminds me of the Celebi event in Heart Gold and Soul Silver.

Black Bot : That would be a dreadful idea.
BtotheH : That would be a Mario version of Sonic Generations. And Castlevania Lords of Shadow Mirror of Fate is somewhat like Castlevania time travel.

A futuristic Mario would be interesting. I also do like the idea of a futuristic Zelda. I know that it's already explored Time Travel, but to see Link walking through New York City or something... that would be interesting (maybe not "good").

I would say final fantasy but that is already mucked up enough.

So I'll go with none-other than the series of games known as Legend of Zelda.
( as in instead of adult link and child link... )
Travel would be between distant times with more than one link in a sense.

iN008 : Final Fantasy's version of time travel in XIII-2 was weird. They sort of explored it in X, but not really, because Tidus never traveled back to his original time, and he was *SPOILERS* not even a real person anyways...

pray75 : old spoiler is old. I just want to say Square Enix should just avoid time travel in general.
Since they don't do a good job of it. Game Freak haven't really explored it much ( Excluding the HG and SS event. )

I'm feeling like any Marvel or DC super hero title could easily make a good time travel or distant future version of a game revolved around a hero, because they could easily come up with some sort of new futuristic custom and story line for a franchise like the Batman Arkham franchise especially since the Batman Beyond suit/spin off is based on a futuristic spin off/look on Batman, and for Marvel something to do with Spiderman and the new foundation addition(white and black suit) which is already set in the future. 

I suppose Pokémon has already done that, so I would say... hum, maybe Mario party or Mario galaxy and definitely final fantasy.
