An example of my short stories:     The Flushing

   First, I was flying. Then there was water. Water is a good thing, at least to me. My gills were still functioning and I could breathe again but my eyes- something was wrong with them. I was seeing okay, but they didn't seem to respond. Nothing was responding to me! I was scared and panicked, but my body didn't let me swim away. My rigid, golden body sank down lower than my bowl ever let me and I came to rest on something smooth and white. Coldness.... chemicals.... fear..... I could feel it all, taste it all, but I could not get away. Then there was a disturbance in the water, I could see a swirl forming. Movement... I was a part of the swirl. The panic was replaced by an icy terror. I moved down more and more, faster and faster, until.... Darkness. I felt a crunch, a brief euphoria, a release. Stress... fear... strife... pain... longing. All gone, swallowed up by an inky beyond.  My name is Goldie, and on this day I died. Flushed, by my owners hand.

It has been awhile since I have heard poetry. (Folks don't judge me. I am taking a break from my X-Box.)

So, how about a poem about Lies, Trickery, Treachery, and Such???
Why not use False Identity as a theme.

One of my favourite lines a friend wrote for a song we wrote.
"Pump me full of chemicals and leave me to die."
"You can't hurt me anymore. My whole life has been a lie."

It has been a long time since I have heard talent from common people like myself. (As opposed to professionals.)
