This is my favorite Sonic game, first Sonic game, and first game I played. (Man, nostalgia kicking in...) Here's my review of my very first video game. (This is the version for the Gamecube. I didn't have a Gameboy Advance link cable thing, so I'll just skip that. ) Here we go!

Graphics: 9/10 This is my first game, so my 5 or 6 year old mind thought the graphics were the best around. Looking back now with Xbox360, PS3, Wii U, etc, the game doesn't look that bad. Sure it kinda muddy, but still, good graphics!

Story: 8/10 The game takes place right after the first. The game starts as Sonic falls out of a helicopter because there isn't any movies of popcorn(?) (I thought this part was so funny when I was little. He takes a piece of the helicopter and uses it as a skateboard. (It gets more crazy from here) I seriously have no idea on how to sum up the whole story, so I'll just sum it up in 1 word. Craziness.

Sound: 10/10 When you first start, you here Crush 40 singing Live and Learn (I'm listening to it right now during writing this review.) The other music all have a certain tone to it. Sonic and Shadow's stages have a certain speed to it, Eggman and Tail's stages have a techno theme, and Knuckles and Rouge's stage have rap. Just rapping. I had no idea what the heck was going on in those stages.

Gameplay: 9/10 The controls are simple. You need to reach the end of the stage in the Eggman, Tails, Sonic, and Shadow stages, but for Rouge and Knuckles' stages are a little different. In the events preceding the Knuckles and Rouge stages, for Eggman not to get the Master Emerald, Knuckles smashed it to tiny fragments. (Obviously, Knuckles isn't the brightest guy around.) In the Rouge and Knuckle stages, you need to collect 3 pieces of the Master Emerald. Yeah, it's kinda hard. Well, in you of the Rouge stages, you need to collect 3 Chaos Emeralds. In 5 minutes. Yeah, 5 MINUTES. I was 8 when I finally beat the difficult stage. I didn't notice that the Chaos Emeralds never changed places, and I thought they did so.

Depth: 9/10 After beating the final boss and what-not, there is not much to do. You COULD get all 180 medals, but I'm a lazy bum. Nobody got time to do that. (Except Jihrad)

Difficulty: 6/10 This game can get very hard. Like, Water Temple hard. Like BattleToads hard. Like frozen pizza hard. You get what I'm saying

Bonus: N/A/ 10 The bonus depends on if your a really big Sonic fan. The bonus is a whole 3D recreation of Green Hill Zone from Sonic the Hedgehog 1! That's freaking sweet. In my eyes, still awesome.

Overall:9/10 The music is great, the gameplay is great, the graphics are great, and the bonus is SWEET! I recommend this game to hardcore Sonic fans and Sonic newbs alike!

I still have this game and I have beaten it over 10 times. The only thing I didn't like is that the game is called sonic adventure 2, but the levels go, sonic, tails, tails, knuckles, tails, knuckles, then sonic. I really didn't like the lack the of sonic levels. They did a better job on shadows side of the game though. You also never gave a difficulty rating.

awesome review. i loved playing this game. i completed it with sonic tails and knuckles but i kept loosing with rouge when you had to get the emeralds so i gave up.
