I honestly don't think this is possible, but I just wanted to double check. Can you trade Pokémon with other members or is there a way to get around this? Or do you just have to play a modified version of the game?

you cannot trade with other members using the RGR. there are hacks for some games that allow you to catch all pokemon including ones that you have to trade to get. 

If I'm not mistaken, David is trying to make it to where we can play and interact with Gameboy, Gameboy Color, and Gameboy Advance games using some form of emulator that utilizes the link cable that could be used for trading. If they get it to work, you might be able to trade with people before you know it. That would be pretty cool, in my opinion, because there are a few games that I would like to play with people, like Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and Zelda: Oracle of Sages, in which the two games intertwined allow you to expand upon each experience greatly. Until then, we're just going to have to wait. Or as another user said, you could play one of the games that allows you to catch extra Pokémon.

Personally, I'd rather see the link cable thing come to fruition because I'd like to be able to battle other users. That was always one of my favorite features of Pokémon and to be able to do that here would be awesome. That's just what I think, though, but I'm sure I'm not the only one who sees it this way.

Unfortunately you will not be able to trade with other members until Davideo gets the emulators working over net-play.
This could take some time so I wouldn't expect to see it on vizzed anytime soon.

Thanks for the info everyone. That would really be amazing if member's are able to battle each other and trade in the future. Growing up, 
none of my friends ever played Pokémon so I've never got to battle any real people before. Dream come true right there. And playing Legend Of Zelda games with others would be awesome. I really hope this happens.
