Do you think that the setting on someones profile " Post a comment" should go? I think that it should, I hate it when people post something on your profile that could easily be handled with a PM. Plus, what someone says on your profile stays there forever. I think that it is just a bad idea. If someone says something bad about you do you want everyone to see? I personally see no problem in the comment section of the profile. I also pretty much like it.
pm is more for private stuff.. And the comment section is more open.
i think it should be as it is.
and IF David decide to change it i will completely agree with him.
but until then i think the comment section on the profile is just fine.

Just toggle it to off and it will be completely removed from your profile.

I also think it should stay. It's much easier than sending a PM to somebody. But I do wish you could delete individual comments, like if, as muaaz just said, if somebody swears, or just plain spams your profile, it would be very helpful. Would be easier than having to put in ten comments on your own profile.

As it stands, if you don't like having comments on your profile, you can remove comments easily in the edit profile section.

It's a personal choice. I like having a comment section. It's pretty exciting to be told I have a comment everyone can read.
