Should we do them again? If so, what should the Viz prizes be? Who should host them? Any other concerns?

I think it'd be awesome if we could start them up again. The prizes probably would be limited for the first few months, granted we spent a lot of Viz to open the place up and everything, so maybe 5,000-10,000 would be a good reward at first, and probably 15,000 in the later months, Nya~.

As for a host, maybe Galacta? He's probably the best one here as far as I know, so it'd be fair I'd say. Of course, the host wouldn't be limited to the reward (In other words, can participate and win too), so the most the host would need to do is set up a date for the game to be held at and stuff.

Also, for the maps, I was thinking maybe letting the host choose as well, considering that sometimes, letting the others choose the map, being the host and all. Granted they aren't too difficult for everyone.

I'm in for this. I can help out with the reward hand-outs since I just happen to have 400,000 spare Viz. Viz prizes could go for 5k or 10k depending on how many people participating in it.
For choosing maps, everyone who participates could get a good part in it, like each person gets 2 picks of their favorites in it.

If I'm the host then I suggest you give out rewards from 2nd... I don't like to brag, but let's face it- I've played so much more than everyone that I'm bound to win. But yeah, I'm willing to host, I've got quite a few good maps despite losing 4000+ back in February...

The idea was simply...  that we have a point based system and that we play all 4 osu! Modes available...  I'll just explain it simply now...

You get points for the position you finish in every song...  e.G 5 for 1st, 4 for 2nd
This way you get a fair reflection on who came in what position.... and the Champion for each mode is announced
All 4 modes points are added together and the person with the most points is declared the champion of osu! (in general)

Like I said though it's probably too complicated when we have like 4 people interested...

I'd love to see the osu! tournaments start up again. But that said, I think we should have tournaments for the other modes too. I understand standard would be tough because not everyone has a mouse, but Taiko, CtB, and osu!mania are certainly doable, right?

themasterofgames : osu is a rhythm based game... it's free and easy to get into, especially if your a fan of anime or music in general... most of us in this group play Catch the beat where you just catch falling fruit on a platter by moving left and right.. it's very basic gameplay but you'd be surprised how hard it can get x3
