So news out of Pax East is that there is a new remake of the AWESOME classic Platformer for the NES.

Here's some news that has come out:

It'll be for the XBLA, the PSN and the PC.
It'll cost 15 dollars.
It'll be available this summer.
Hand-drawn sprites are the core of the aesthetic presentation, with those sprites being voiced by "Disney's authentic voice actors."

The incredible Jake Kaufman will be remaking the original masterful soundtrack.
The game will include some other cool stuff, like a museum, a tutorial, and even Scrooge's money bin!

Ducktales remix? I haven't played too much of the NES or GameBoy versions of these games too much, but it's pretty fun. Glad to see a remake of another classic. As long as they don't completely screw it up, I'm happy.

pacman1755 : Yeah I usually get worried when I hear that they are remaking a classic, but based off of the development info and the trailer it looks like they are doing the series right.

Having the guy that did the original music for the NES version is a huge hit with the fans since the soundtrack to that game is often in the conversation for best NES music.

That's going to be awesome, this is going to be about as nostalgic as it gets! I can already tell you that I'll be buying that the day it comes out. I loved the cartoon when I was younger and I loved the game when I was younger.

Not too many users of vizzed will appreciate this since it's before the time of most of the active users of this site but anyone who grew up in the 80s and early 90s will probably have a huge smile on their face while watching this trailer.

Jordanv78 : I actually buy way more Xbox live arcade games than retail games. Not just because their cheaper and instantly available but also because the xbox marketplace has so many retro games and I personally enjoy retro games more than modern games.
