Below is the PM currently on the RGR Inbox, I am unsure if the PM will show correctly here, but here is everything we tried to do.

After sending the PM, I tried to change the colors from 32-bit to 16-bits, but it still don't work.

Local Mods : I'm planning to leave this thread open for 1 week, if no solution is found, I will be contacting Admin+

"Me - This seems like a tough situation.
I tried installing the latest DirectX available to me, I have it installed now, the Dragon Crystal game for the Sega Master System still don't work.
I tried to check through my hardware to see if anything was wrong, nothing seems to be wrong.
I will be making a thread containing this PM on the RGR help forum, I will await for help for 1 week, if the solution is not found yet, I will contact the Admin+

RGR Staff: You could check online and try to install the latest DirectX drivers, but if you have them already, I assume they wouldn't try to install over the old ones. Even if they did, if you had any type of corrupted files, it may replace them, so that isn't such a bad thing.
If your graphics card has issues running games in fullscreen, there are odd glitches such as the one you are currently having with the plugin on game sites with high grapic quality, or it is just old and worn out- all may be symptoms. You need to find out what kind of graphics card is installed on your pc, and the resolution. You also need to go to your Control Panel and Hardware, to check and be sure that the device is working properly, and the drivers are up to date.

Me - I will make a thread on the RGR, but before that I would like to ask you:
1 - How can I check and know something is wrong with my Graphics card and DirectX?
2 - If there are a problem with any of them, how do I fix it?

RGR - I honestly can't think of anything else that could be causing the issue, unless like I said, it is your graphics card or DirectX in some way. The only other advice I can give you, is to post the topic in the RGR forums, and see if anyone else has any ideas. If all else fails, you could try asking Tom, the plugin designer, or David directly.

Me - I tried to completely delete the plugin, download it again from Vizzed and install it again but still the glitch still happens.

RGR - Have you tried un-installing and re-installing an older version of the plugin? I don't think older versions will run, but you can try completely deleting the plugin, and getting an older version, then updating to the new plugin over it. There is a possibility that you may have lost a file, or something got mixed up in transition over to the new plugin.

Me - I got the screenshot, here it is:

(What appears on screen varies)
Like I said, when I used the v1.96 of the Plugin the games worked normally, but now it is having that glitch.

RGR - It either has to be your graphics card, or microsoft re-distributable package. Try playing other emulators outside of the plugin, and see if that works. If so, then it is plugin related, but if not, then it is something with your pc. You can try going out and getting the latest microsoft re-distributable package, and updating/re-installing the device drivers for your graphics card. I'll keep trying to help you figure it out. If you could get any screenshots, that would be great, too.

Me - It had been a long time since I last played LoZ, and this time a different screen appeared, it was a black screen with a white vertical line and a curve made with white dots.
I atempted using the program you recommended me to use and I also used Advanced System Care, but the glitch is still happening.

RGR - If you had played a LoZ game prior to the one you are trying to play, and there are glitches of the previous games played stacked on top of the game you are currently playing, thus creating a glitch, then it sounds like you may have a problem with cache. Honestly, that doesn't sound like a video or a framerate problem, but instead sounds like one of your caches is full, and it isn't able to find an appropriate place to store new data, therefore it is coming out garbled amongst other data.Try deleting your browser histories, or for a more thorough cleaning of your caches, try the program CCleaner. If none of these solutions work, then we'll keep going deeper into the rabbit hole until we get you figured out.

Me - Well, I just removed and reinstalled the plugin.
I tried to play "College Slam" but the screwed up screen continued.
In the wierd screen I could see the Vizzed box of the game page, and above it something that looked like a picture of an LoZ game, becuase in it had the ruppee image and a number that looked like an "16".
Any other ideas on how to fix this?

RGR - That sounds odd. The first thing I would do, is try it in a different browser. If you try a different emulator outside of the plugin, and the same thing happens, then it may not be plugin related. If screenshots are coming out correctly, but the game looks glitched, then it may be a problem with frame rate. As a last resort, you could try re-installing the plugin, but you may also just need to change your screen refresh rate.

Me - Here is my problem.
When I used the v1.9 of the RGR plugin, I could play all video games normally, with the v2.0 certain video games shows a messed up screen, the game behind the screen works normally, when I take a screenshot of the game on the RGR Plugin screenshot taker, the game appears normally when I upload it."

Seishiro Leonhart : You may have said this already in your Pm's but I didn't see it here...Have you tried to use some other web browser aside from Firefox? If so, does the same thing happen?

Does this glitch only happen with SEGA games/consoles? Does the same thing happen when using Gens and Mednafen?

Jordanv78 : I personally don't want to have to change web browsers, but it seems I don't have other choices.

I downloaded and installed Google Chrome and tried to play the Dragon Crystal game (SMS), but the screen is still messed up, nothing different happened.

Do you have another idea of what I could do?

RGR Staff : I think my summon didn't work.

Seishiro Leonhart : As I had said before, does this happen only with the Sega games, or does this happen with all systems? Does this only happen with Mednafen

Sometimes people have had issues with messed up graphics with regards to the Sega Genesis games. When this happens they could usually fix the problem by changing their display settings to 16 bit.

I would also look to make sure you have the most current version of DirectX. I also would look into updating your device drivers.

Failing that and if uninstalling/re-installing didn't work there probably isn't a whole lot more we could do without physically having your computer in front of us.

Jordanv78 : This is happening to Sega video games, but I noticed the same glitch happen in High Score mode of Ms. Pacman.

I have the latest DirectX installed, but how can I update my drivers?

About if only with Mednafen or Old, I don't know, I only click in Play Game.

slimeface1212 : You can read the thread to find out exactly why this is happening. Again this post is bordering on spam. Not really needed.

Seishiro Leonhart : You can update your Video card drivers by determining what kind of video card you have. Make and model. Then go to that manufacturers website and download the most current version for your card.

Also like I had said before, you can set your display settings to 16 bit to see if that fixes the problem for Sega/Snes games.

You could also download Mednafen from Getyourrom.com and see if you have the same problem when you are not on Vizzed. If it does, then we can narrow down the possibilities of what might be going on.

Jordanv78 : Can you give me a link to this Mednafen? I can only find Mednafen for TurboGrafx, WonderSwan etc.

I already tested playing with 16 bit, but the same thing happens.

I found info about my Graphics card, it seems that the graphic card I use became old since 2008, here is the name of it: VIA/S3G UniChrome Pro IGP, I downloaded it, but the file didn't work properly.

I'll try again when I come back.

I don't think mednafen is available at get-your-rom.com. If not, then I have the latest build that I'll leave a link to download below. This emulator is booted from command prompt, so you will need to know how to navigate through DOS to open it, or you can use the option Open Command Window Here. Windows 7 has that option built in already, but I see from the screenshot you have Window XP.

Normally with win 7 you'll hold Shift key and right click on the emulator's folder for the option. Windows XP doesn't have this unless you download and install from microsoft the tool for it (named Open Command Window Here):
http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/xp-downloads#2TC=powertoys

Once that's installed you can just right click on the emulator folder for the option.

I have included in the emulator's download the ROM from that screenshot, so once the command line is open type mednafen.exe "MsPacMan.nes" then tap the Enter key which will boot the game.

This will tell us if your computer is able to run mednafen, or if it is the RGR Plugin to blame.

tRIUNE : I downloaded and installed the program you requested me to install, and I also downloaded the Mednafen emulator.

When I tried to open the emulator like you specified (hold left shift then right click o nthe emulator), but no option like Open Command Window Here appeared, all continued the same.

How could I try to reach the file through DOS? Or do you have another solution to this?

I could atempt to reach the file through DOS, but I only need to know the commands I would need to know to get to there, the rest I could do on my own.

I would need to know how I could see the folders and files, and how to move to a new folder, exit from a folder I already know (cd.. command).

With windows 7 you'd hold shift. I don't know if that would work for something else with windows xp, but with that tool installed you just have to right click without shift. Hmm, have you unzipped the mednafen folder, and are you right-clicking the folder mednafen-0.9.28-wip-win32 (not the emulator)?

tRIUNE : Oh, I were trying that on the emulator directly.

I tried right-clicking the folder, the option Open Command Window Here now appeared.

So I did as you told me, at DOS I typed mednafen.exe "MsPacMan.nes", the game window appeared, and sadly, the game had the same results as playing on the RGR Plugin, at the messed screen it showed Vizzed Board logo...

What now?

That's odd that it would show the vizzed board logo on an offline emulator...does it have that with all game systems in the RGR that have mednafen available? For example try Pokemon Gold with the mednafen link in the top left of the of the play window.

Could also try the rom in your local emulator from link below. Place it in the mednafen folder and type at the command line mednafen.exe "PokemonGold.gbc".

tRIUNE : I played the game on the emulator I downloaded, the results were the same, except that this time the vizzed logo didn't show up.

Possibly my computer don't support Mednafen?

Local Mods : I figured out the problem, apparently my PC don't support Mednafen, as I were able to play the Dragon Crystal game normally with Old Mednafen.

Thanks to everyone who tried to help me, but yeah, my PC is bad.

Close this.

Davideo7 :   David, no one on the site could help me, this thread was available for a while but no solution were found for this problem.

Is there anyway you could make Old Mednafen available on the High Score mode? apparently the game begins with the New Mednafen and there is no link to play with the old one.

Davideo7 : Then how am I supposed to play in High Score mode for certain  video games?

Should I try to use the RGR plugin v1.96 again?

I guess you're not going to be able to, sorry. It's probably your computer or your graphic card, nothing I can do about that.

Any version prior to the RGR Plugin v2.0 wont work on the site.
