Is Pokemon for me?

 
Is the Pokemon series worth starting for this "old school gamer?" I see that Pokemon, after all these years still has a missive and very faithful following. I loved Pokemon first Gen, over 16 years ago, but have since grown out of the hype. My question for you is Pokemon still worth playing for someone who's been out of the loop for so long?
Deffinetly worth playing!

Lol Same here. I quit playing it probably fourteen years ago, but all of this "pokémon this. pokémon that" on here has finally made me decide to give it a try again. I figure, age really doesn't matter when it comes to a good game. As for wether we'll like it still or not, there's no way to know until we try it. I'll probably fire a game up tonight and see if it's still as epic as it was when I was younger.

Though I did try a few minutes of it a few months back, and I enjoyed it. So, if you still like RPG, strategy, and turn based fighting, then you'll probably still like pokémon.

If u got an nintendo u need to buy pokemon black or white 2 (personally i think white 2 is better because white kyurem is batter then Black Kyurem)

I first started playing way back in 2005 I first started with red and blue. Then upgraded to gold and silver and I was hooked I couldn't stop playing I have played EVERY single Pokémon game there is to play with the exception of mystery dungeon (I hate that game) oh and except for White and Black 2 because my Nintendo D.S lite broke.

I highly recommend it due to it's challenges, it is very entertaining and not always easy. But as it was said before, you really should start off with the older games, then maybe move up to the newer ones.

Although they the Pokémon franchise has made a few games actually worth not playing, I still find it fun to play the older games or Rom hacks! Pokémon will be one of those memories I'll be carrying with me while I get older. Anyway, if you feel like you don't want to play Pokémon anymore or feel your to old, just start playing some Rom Hacks!

Well in my opinion I don't think you should try the newer games for they don't feel like the first Pokemon games for the games are not as good as they used to be but if you want to try the series I suggest playing the first three generations for in my opinion are the best but the fourth generation was actually very good as well so I suggest you to try that one.
