people say older gens is the best and more creative...well hello! electrode and voltorb are just pokeball's......magneton is just 3 magnetmites together.....muk is just a blob....weezing is just 2 koffings mutated together.....charizard looks exactly like a dragon.......vectorbell is a jungle plant i seen in jungle with eyes...diglet is a mole. dugtro is just 3 moles in the same hole...... GEN 2 nockowl and hoothhoot are jut owl's... yanma is just a dragonfly pinecone is just a pinecone...standler just a deer....miltank just a cow.....GEN 3 pelpiper and wingul are just seaguls...corphish and crowdant are just lobster....harmihama suma wresler... walren and sealeo are just seals....unatone an solrock are just the sun and moon...slothith is just a sloth..seviper is a snake and zangoose is a vangoose...whiscash just a catfish.....GEN 4 bibarel just a beaver...combee s honeycombs....drifblimp an drfitbloon are just a balloon...hippodon is just a hippo.... ok in gen 5 the bad are trubish trash bag and klaklang is just gears and the ice cream poke.....every gen has there uncreative pokes and very creative pokes. ya i know growing up with that generation/generaions makes it no way the new generations can be better.

it may be like that but the older generation pokemon are better because they are better detailed and have many differences then the actual animal that they are based on. i agree that they are getting more creative but the older ones are still better.

mister sandman : In my opinion gen 5 Pokémon(specifically non legends)were bad. Because in my opinion the artist for the 5th gen Pokémon  spend more time making the legends more creative then the normal Pokémon you would find. And also the normal Pokémon had little to no imagination put into them, thus making many fans of the franchise say/think  "wow this is pathetic". And thus the  attitude toward Pokémon from gen 5 went to "they all suck". And here's some of the more crappy unimaginative  pokemon from gen 5, Lillipup,woobat,throh,basculin,sandile,dwebble,scraggy( i call it sagging pokemon),sigilyph,TRUBBISH,vanillite,deerling,foongus,joltik, and KLINK.

mister sandman : I wasn't trying to get a reaction out of you lol(that would be flaming), and I know not all of the Pokémon in it were bad I was just saying how I felt that more effort was put into legends for that generation then the regular Pokémon people tend to use. And also in my opinion  here were some of the better Pokémon of the generation  Serperior, Darmanitan,Duosion and  its evolved form,Seismitoad, emolga, swanna(the evolved form of ducklett and the other two starters. And also ignorance means not knowing and I own and beat Pokémon  Black, so I kinda do know about Pokémon of that generation, and I also still have older games like yellow and emerald and sapphire.

IMO, The gens are getting better, or at least being consistently good. 
Gen 1: Started the franchise, but had horrible balancing issues(not to mention most stubborn fanbase...).
Gen 2: Insane amount of improvements, like breeding and types to counter the OP Psychic types, but had the smallest roster of pokemon at only 100.
Gen 3: running shoes,individual pokemon sprites, Remakes of Red and Green, but didn't have connectivity to Gen 1 or 2.
Gen 4: remakes for my favorite pokemon games, gold and silver, the physical/special moves split (Fire punch used to be a special move, but after gen 4, its now a physical move, and Hyper Beam used to be a physical move, but is now a special move), but this is where the Anime started to decline...
Gen 5: became more 3D than gen 4 and had introduced more pokemon than any other generations thus far, but does have a few "un-creative" designs.

Some pokemon arnt creative but most are like vanillish ice cream cone and ice type I know the creators can do better than that but some i personally like. All gens I like equally the new ones because would you wanna use all the first original pokemon ? Really hard to come up with new pokemon if they are already worrying on episode ideas,Game versions,Pokemon, new characters, etc but ya i agree they all have good and bad parts 

The Pokemon are getting more origional gen by gen, but the legendarys are getting worse as they go. Zekrom * cough cough *
