I remember I was battling a friend on diamond (we live next door to each other, and was not battling face to face) and he had his action reply in on his ds slot with his pearl. When we battled he used all lv 10s and 12's against my lv 35's, so I'm thinking I got this battle in the bag right, but little did I know he had in his action reply so he used a cheat code that kills trainers Pokémon with one hit, and I lose miserably. I was so upset I almost cried out the corner of my right eye, after that loss I didn't play for like a week and seriously doubted my abilities as a trainer . After I stopped playing for about a week he comes over and we are playing GTA 4 and he tells me (after seeing my ds on the floor and diamond version on the dresser ) he said ohh yeah I cheated on that battle last week with my action reply.

The only time I've ever lost to a trainer is that youngster on the beach to the west of Petalburg. I had a Treecko, it took me forever to kill his Seedot, and then his Taillow finished the job. Of course, that was my first time ever playing, but still, it stung.

marcushoward : My most memorable defeat was in Eterna city, in diamond. That Saturn guy and his skuntank totally outclassed me. It was so stupid, he got like 5 crits in that battle. After losing, I thought I wasn't prepared for the gym and for a rematch, so I started training... Then my friend came playing with me, and he said he beat that gym with a level 21 prinplup. I looked at my Pokemon, and it was torterra level 58 I totally sweeped the rest of that game.

when i first to lance since i got though all the elite four and just fought him i lost to his dragonite it has a fun and sad since i cried and the battery in my game boy color came over and the last thing i saved was a the ice gym and since my silver game was messed up the data got corrupted and had to start over

I'd have to say when I was battling Steven the champion I was on my last Pokémon and so was he. (Claydoll is what he had I believe) and I had Kyogure. I was out of PP for almost every move and was at about 10-30 HP's left, so I go for a Hydro Pump and miss.... He then uses Hyper Beam to finish me off and take away ALMOST ALL MY MONEY AND ALL THE FULL RESTORES AND MAX REVIVES WASTED!

My most memerable deafeat took place in Kanto at the elite four when I finally beat Gary in firered I was celebrating all night on that one the firered and leafgreen elite four in my opinion was very hard to beat which made victory alot sweeter and made me very proud I even had a powerful team and after that battle which made me more happy my dragonair evolved into the powerful dragonite.
