Awful Tower Mini Game -- Crashing Issue.

While Mario Party 3 works wonderfully on this site with minor graphics glitches, one mini-game, when initiated, causes the game to freeze and crash. Because of this, the only way to progress through the game is to hope the mini-game never surfaces. 

Is there a way to remedy this problem? Much thanks to anybody who can help.

I doubt there's anyway to fix it, and it's not a problem I've come across or seen before.  Is there only one mini game with a tower in it?  (In other words, any one who plays the game will certainly know which game you are talking about.)

Also, does the whole plug in crash, and do you get any kind of error message?

One thing you can do to avoid it is use f2 to state stave it, and if it happens to pick the Awful Tower minigame, just press f4, and you will be back to before the minigame was chosen. Maybe save it while it's aligning the teams so you can be sure that the game hasn't already decided what game you would be playing.

As for attempting to play Awful Tower in the mini game room: I could not even choose it seeing as the game crashes before I can complete the mini game. To be specific, the entire plug-in crashes and I receive an error from Google Chrome stating that said plug-in crashed. I assume the heavy amount of movement and the density of objects on screen in Awful Tower causes the game to crash. The game does have some small graphics issues with other mini-games -- flashing and blackening of screen in Aces High for example -- but that is alright and the game does not crash. However, the crashing issue with Awful Tower might be the result of a more crippling graphics problem that the emulator cannot handle -- just throwing ideas out there.

Ed Frank : Although I have not personally tested this minigame myself it sounds like it might be an issue with the emulator and that particular rom. Does this happen with both the MUPEN and 1964 emulator?
