Next month is March and March for sports means the March Madness NCAA tournament. What better way to celebrate that than to have our own March Madness tournament here on Vizzed? The game I have selected for this is College Slam for the Genesis. For any of those who grew up on NBA Jam games, this is essentially a college version of that.

I'll be taking entries until the end of the month with plans to start in March.

To Enter:

-There will be a 100 Viz entry fee. Not because I want viz, but to help weed out people who aren't going to actually participate anyway.

-You will need to have a computer able to run the game without lag while on netplay and while recording. I'll want matches recorded in case of disputes. This also means you'll wanna use Mednafen for playing since it's the one that does video recording (I have verified that you can switch while in netplay).

Prizes:
1st = 10,000 Viz
2nd = 5,000 Viz
3rd = 2,500 Viz

Depending on how many signups I get, I may have a pre-tournament season like thingy the same way the Tecmo tournament was run.

To enter, simply send me the 100 Viz and note that you would like to sign up for the tournament.

Davideo7 : It'd be awesome if you joined in as well (you don't need to pay an entry fee xp ) but I realize you're often busy.

Crazy Li : It was hard for me to schedule my last match with Jordan in the last tournament so I'd fear that could be a problem in this one for me if I joined.

Davideo7 : I guess it all depends on how often you can realistically be available. I was thinking of giving people a whole week to complete a match so that availability problems won't be as great... though at the same time, this might cause the tournament to drag on for a really long time (though I would end rounds sooner if everyone's results were already in, of course).

Davideo7 : Good question. From booting up the game, picking your teams/players, playing the actual game to finish... probably about 10 minutes. Unless of course you were to adjust the clock to tick faster/slower. The actual game clock indicates that there are two 6-minute halves but on the default Timer Speed setting of 3, I've noticed that one game second is shorter than a real life second... that's why it only takes about 10 minutes to play out a "12 minute" game with a halftime intermission.
