I have noticed that, upon adding content to some games, the ESRB is listed so that they can be sorted into categories by age. MobyGames.com features different rating systems for a multitude of games, and they should be used to limit which players on Vizzed can play what games, according to their age upon signup with the site. All hacks, homebrewed, and unrated games should be tested by site staff before being made public to all users, to ensure that the content is appropriate. There are still many of our games that are considered far too mature for many of our younger users, and a large number of them have no maturity warning. This could pose an issue with those who would seek to blame Vizzed for their children seeing inappropriate content in our games. Not only would my system ensure that the games were being played by the appropriate age groups, but would also save from any issues regarding complaints on mature content not being appropriately flagged.

If the coding for this isn't too hard to do, it actually might be a good idea. right now we test games and THEN flag them for deactivation.  However, with thousands upon thousands of games, it's taking a long time to run through them all.  In the meantime, the kids can access all kinds of games they shouldn't be able to do.  If they were to tell their parents, or their parents saw it.... well it wouldn't speak well of vizzed.  Having them automatically deactivated, and THEN activated upon approval from the game testers is a pretty good idea.

Of course, we'd need a more active testing staff...

I'd still prefer to do it the way that we're currently doing it where we make the games available and than deactivate it or add the maturity warning after we'ved tested it. The reason is because there's a lot of games that we'd end up having to deactivate until we got to testing them and it'll be a very long time before every single game gets tested.

I don't remember if I made it so that users under a certain age couldn't play mature games but I do know that for Mature games, I have a big red bold warning letting users know that the game has a mature rating.
