To be honest the Hoenn region has the best starters in my opinion. I like Treeko and Mudkip and Torchick are good as well. Especially when they evolve.

Kanto, or Hoenn. I would have to say Kanto because Charizard is the best starter.

While I like most of the other starters from the other regions, I'd have to say the Kanto starters are probably my favorite. They are my favorite not just because they are nostalgic to me, but I also find them to be incredibly adorable and their final evolutions are all big, strong, and very intimidating.

I would say the first one. Because if you choose charmander you have a pokemon that can learn fly and squirtle can learn surf. But in all regions if you choose a water pokemon it can learn surf. But only in the first one do you have a pokemon that can learn both surf and fly. I could be wrong because i am not familiar with most of the pokemon regions. But as far as i know only the first region has two different starter pokemon that can learn both of the major hm techniques.

It's a tie between Kanto and Johto because the Pokémon are cute and powerful and then evolve into something way stronger than that but still oddly cute. Plus they are my favorite regions and generations because everything just suddenly clicks! And of Course the Starters are one of my favorites because of the design. First of all as you all know, Cyndaquil's entire back is covered in Flames and the flame is bigger when it evolves, of course Charizard was a dragon but Cyndaquil oddly clicks in my mind. Chikorita and Bulbasaur have something special to them, Chikorita has those leaves while Bulbasaur has those vines. The water types are cute but grow up to be deadly. Blastoise has literal water cannons on his back while Feraligatr (yes actual spelling) has a gigantic jaw. Both starters were amazing. I love all the generations starter Pokémon but my favorite has got to be, Kanto and Johto!

                                                                           Kanto And Johto Everybody!

I think that Kanto has the best Grass starter, Johto has the best Fire starter, and Hoenn has the best Water starter. Each generation has starters that aren't that great or are severely overshadowed by other gens.

I believe Venasaur is the best because it is the toughest of the grass starters.

Typhlosion is the best because it doesn't have a secondary type weighing it down like Flying or (gag me) Fighting.

Swampert is the best because the thing can take a crap ton of damage and it hits like a truck. (It can one-shot Red's Snorlax in SS)
