Ok, I have tried evolving Poliwhirl and Slowbro to lvl 40 holding and not holding the King's Rock and I cannot get them to evolve into Politoed and Slowking respectively. I read on another site that you had to use a moon stone on Poliwhirl but that doesn't work. Does anyone know how to get those 2 Pokemon? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

i thought it was a sun stone to evolve poliwhirl to politoed. for slowpoke it has to have a specific nature to evolve in to slowking
