It makes sense to put GCN games on here because it's now 2 generations behind. You put N64 games on here when the wii came out, so at that time it was 2 generations behind.

I will break this down. It doesn't matter how many generations ago the system is. Consoles with disc games will not be put on this site for one main reason. Games on discs are far to large. This server doesn't have the bandwidth capable of streaming that much information. If even a small handful of people were playing disc games at the same time, it would strain the server and crash it. It would cost a small fortune to have a server that could handle streaming that much. And before anyone gets the idea that if they rally people to donate to purchase a server that can, it is not a one time cost issue. Having that kind of server would cost a small fortune MONTHLY to have. It just won't happen.

Yeah, basically this is a no-go unless the site was seeing a large amount of donations per month to justify a server upgrade and even then that's a big gamble because how can David know that those donations will continue at that level?

I don't know what David currently pays for the servers he has, but I do know that severs are extremely expensive... like hundreds of dollars a month for really large sites with lots of file hosting capability.

As it is, this site goes down from time to time just trying to handle small, old games and the Sega CD stuff... so yeah, anything beyond that is unreasonable to expect.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
