I'm an avid Runescape player and I was wondering does anyone else here play this MMORPG? If not you might want to try it out their constantly updating the game with new content and stuff i highly recommend it.  If you do play add me if you like my name here is the same as it is there.

RuneScape - The No. 1 Free Online Multiplayer Game! As long as you pay for it. I'm going to improve your original post: "They're constantly updating the game with new members-only content and members-only stuff so I highly recommend it to anyone who feels like paying for it." If you wanna recommend a game, you should make sure people know the truth about it.
But once you get used to RuneScape being 4/5 members-only, it's not too bad (definitely not too good though). In other words, the game mostly sucks, but I still play it a bit. It was a lot better in 2008, though. Anyone who disagrees only disagrees because they used to PK so they're just whining because the wilderness was removed that year. I, on the other hand, whine about the wilderness being added back in 2011 or whatever year it was. Although out of the online games I play, I play RuneScape the least, since the other two are better.

I played Runescape several years ago back when it was "mostly" free. Honestly even back then it wasn't that great. I mean you are better off playing Diablo II if you want a simplistic MMO like that.

To each their own though. It just never held my interest for more than 20 mins or so at a time.

I liked what I could play, but I'm going to agree that it's really not a game for people who won't/can't afford to be a member. All the good stuff was members-only. I know that's a normal thing, but if I'm going to pay for a game, I'd probably choose WoW, just because it seems bigger.

If you can't afford membership runescape is not worth your time. mainly because the free two play servers have adds and thousands of bots.
Which are literally tearing apart runescape's economy.

I never heard of it so it must not be any good whatever it is.

That's how a I found out about it anyway. It's not mentioned much anymore.

So if its not mentioned anymore that explains why I never heard of it right

austipokedude : The most you would hear about it now is about Insight Venture Partners ruining the game.
You may have heard about them before on how they like to ruin many games. Another example would be how they made maple story a buy to win game.

I first started playing runescape back in 2001...so much different game, I actually prefer the really old version better than anytime on newer generation engine.

the membership really isn't a whole lot of money i mean 5 bucks a month is great compared to 15 a month for World Of Warcraft, and their always adding new stuff so it's an ever expanding world.  But as earlier stated to each their own
