Wow......the NET seems a little crazy

Wow... a lot of losses in my division I didn't expect. Does that mean if I were to miraculously go 4-0, I'd be guaranteed a playoff spot?

Not that I expect to be able to avoid losing entirely unless my next two matches forfeit/don't respond... >.> but a girl can dream, right?

Crazy Li : I think if you can just win 1 more game you'll probably make the playoffs.

Well I'm excited to get my round 3 matchup going. I am still irritated how last week went considering all the worst luck things that could happen in a Tecmo game happened to me. I don't expect that to happen again as I can't remember having a worse game in Tecmo lol.

Davideo7 : That's less sure of a thing. 3-1-0 is not as good as 3-0-1, for instance... so one of those people who have a win and a tie would do better than me if they win their next 2 games and I win one and lose 1.

Also, if I end up tying with someone at 3-1-0 hypothetically... it would come down to the net points. I'm doing good now because I only actually played one game that I did well in... but who knows if I end up getting destroyed in that hypothetical loss and the other players have 2 wins combined to make up ground with.

Winning both games is the only way to make absolute sure I get into the playoffs at this point. Anything else depends on what other players do.

Davideo7 : Just out of curiosity, do you think there could be a wildcard game to decide who moves on? For example, the top team in each division is automatically in the playoffs, then the second and third teams face off to see who moves on. That way you have wildcard, divisional, Conference Championship, and Super Bowl. I know it doesn't have to be exactly like the NFL, but its just an idea. 52 people are in this, and with the original format, only 8 would move on. I hope you will consider my suggestion.

round 3 results: thubtengendun0 defeats earthwarrior 38-10

I was a pretty good round. thubtengendun0 beat me 38 to 10.

I think last round was great. Even though I got creamed (mostly because I suck) at least my partner was online and cooperated and we had a very fair game. Thanks Crazy Li.

LegendKiller09 beat me 20-14 (in over time). We actually did a rematch because our last game was really laggy. The rematch game was laggy too but not as bad so we decided to use the results from the rematch.

sonikku : Is there any reason why your server has been laggy over the past day? Or maybe it was just LegendKiller09's connection.

Davideo7 : Wow what a match. Sorry you lost.

As far as the server goes, I have noticed that it's been more laggy as of late. I've actually had better luck with the US server over the past week or so.

dragon111 : For the duration of this tourney the Tecmo game is free to host a netplay session.

GBA games (and a few others) do not support netplay.

Davideo7 : I noticed my internet connection in general was slow yesterday on my laptop (the server being on my desktop), so it may have been the internet screwing with that. If multiple games were going on at once, that may also cause some of the lag since it's trying to send data to more than just two or three or four people at once (the typical multiplayer session is two people from what I've seen). Usually, there's only one session at a time going on for my server.

I can try restarting my computer again or shutting down all programs that aren't necessary to have a functioning computer to see if that helps any with the lag, but I can't make any guarantees it'll help.

Edit: Okay, I restarted my computer and combed through the processes on my computer through Task Manager. Anything that doesn't allow the server to run or maintain computer functionality has been closed down completely. If there are still problems after this, it may be the connection itself being stupid or something.

Quick question I noticed that next to our records there is a NET number.  Does this number matter to us when it comes to the standings or should I not pay attention to it?

sonikku : For both matches that were laggy, our sessions were the only ones taking place. It could've just been his internet connection.

mac14 : That's your Net points and that helps determine tie breakers.

What determines how many net points you have?
