I can see the point about the Mario's just because of repetition but if each played totally different (Tanooki, Paper) then what's the harm in it. Only adds to the replay value IMO.

As far as Slippy goes, who cares if there are other Starfox Characters in the game? People like/hate slippy so I don't really see the harm in adding him as long as he had a different move set than the others.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I don't see the harm in adding popular characters.

Oldschool41 : Oh yeah, I completely forgot that Microsoft bought rare studios. I had an idea after brawl came out, that like samus and zero suit, after links final smash he would play the song of time and turn into young link, and young link would go vise versa after his. Second of all, I don't blame Nintendo for not bringing these characters back, because the lack of characters for melee is why these characters exist, in case you didn't notice characters like doctor Mario and young link are characters that have the exact same moves as their counterpart. The reason these characters are in the game could have just been hardware limitations or lack of characters to use. I wouldn't mind seeing mega man, and I would LOVE to see bomberman, as I love his games.

ender44 : Well from a co-worker of mine who is more up to date on video games, Nintendo is trying to buy back Rare from Microsoft. I hope this happens as I would love to see Banjo-Kazooe 3 on the Wii U. But we'll have to wait and see.

Also I believe Megaman is also owned by Capcon so like with Rare, Nintendo would have to ask permission to use Megaman in their games (I could be wrong thou).

Jordanv78 : I guess I can see your point, as Dr. Mario had a better "fireball" compared to Mario. I just think a skin would be better suited.

As for Slippy, don't get me wrong Slippy is cool; its just hard for me to see him in the next Super Smash Brothers. Maybe the girl fox from Star Fox Advantures (I believe thats the correct game) as she could be decent (SSB doesn't have to many Girl characters besides Peach and Zelda, so adding another girl character could add some more diversity imo.)

Actually on that note, they need to add more F-X Racing characters (Captain Falcon's game series).

As for the player rosters, I was thinking before SSBB came out that Paper Mario would be cool. But I wouldn't want any more than that. And as for Pokémon, I wouldn't mind if they had more of them. Make the alternate colors of the Pokémon trainer have different starting Pokémon. Like Red has the same three, Gold has Bayleef, Totodile, and Typhlosion, etc. And for Sonic, I was thinking the same thing with Shadow being a different color. But I don't want any more Sonic characters. The only other 3rd party people I would like would be Mega Man. So really, for me, if they only put in Kirby, Pokémon, and Mario characters, I would still love it. So they should get Bowser Jr. maybe, Birdo, and I would like to see Waluigi in it. And as for Slippy, I don't think that they need somebody else that is exactly the same as somebody else.
