For the past few months, tRIUNE, a few staff members and myself have been working on testing and fixing every Sega CD game in the RGR. It was a big project but we are now complete. Almost all of the Sega CD games have been tested and most of them now work.

Nice that all the fixing of tested games has been completed. I'm glad I could help as much as I did but sad I wasn't able to complete due to the health stuff with my mom.

Is there any solution coming up regarding being able to use save states for these games?

It's really a shame that Kega isn't open-source. That emulator covers Master System, Genesis, CD, and 32X flawless and doesn't have any issues with savestates. It really is the best Genesis emulator out there. Gens is decent... but comparatively buggy. Still, I guess it's the 2nd best one out there.

Crazy Li : Yeah the whole open source thing has really sucked over the past 3 years, it's prevented us from getting emulators like Kega and Project64.

Davideo7 : About the saves, maybe the save states aren't fully compatible with Gens, however the native saves are, yet the current Plugin is not storing them.

If you're willing to have this fixed with the next Plugin update, the Gens emulator will create the native saves as a BRM file after the emulator is closed - the Plugin creates no such save file.

I'm glad to hear that saving will be fixed in the next plugin update. I have avoided playing many of the Sega CD games (Since the testing I did anyways) because a lot of these games are pretty long and are kinda pointless if I can't save in some way shape or form.
