I'm getting pretty sick of notifications like "gooby rated your screenshot a 5/5", "You have new replies to the following thread: x", stuff like that.

So I think we should be able to select what kind of notifications we get, or maybe delete notifications that we don't care about anymore. That'd be real handy to me.

I get what you are saying. It would be a nice feature. I would also like it if you could delete old notifications.

It really doesn't bother me that much. I guess I have gotten to used to it because of social media over the years lol.

This sounds really useful... Honestly, those screenshot/review notifications are unnecessary.

I agree, I'd love a feature like this. It's quite obnoxious some times to get certain notifications, much like the one example of Screenshots, or in my case, sometimes even layouts (ESPECIALLY since I don't even get to see which layout was bought SPECIFICALLY), so this would help out quite a lot.

If we can't have a full opt out option, I'll at least settle with one for the Daily Viz notifications, Nya~.

I'd love it too. I have 700 threads. I don't care about nearly any of them except for a few.

I get spamed 130 times a day, this is nothing.

I agree with this - I'm always getting those "someone rated your screenshot" which is fine, but I also get notifications when I assign my own screenshots to the primary slots on the game page.

All those notifications about screenshots being assigned and rated boot the important notifications off the page. There should be a feature to delete notifications if it could be implemented.

A case in which it would be helpful to get notifications from, for example, "You have new replies to the following thread: x", would be when the thread in example is either Offensive, Spam, Pointless (See: Spam), or overall just against the rules in general. One could easily opt out of getting notifications to that thread, and as a result, not get the notification telling them they did bad. This would be most notable in cases in which said user feels it is unnecessary to summon the thread creator because it'd be almost redundant.

For layouts, it's nice to know that you are getting sales, but at the same time, it's the users fault for choosing to not get notifications for it.

For screenshots, there's really no defense at all. There's no point in truly seeing every picture got rated 5/5 (Since I almost never see an incident where it is rated below a 3 unless the person is simply trolling), unless you want an ego boost.

I also did the "No example" part of the rest of that post as a little joke, not to be serious, which you can clearly see as my examples above, Nya~

The only thing that would be more absurd is if told me when I replied to my own threads. Just imagine...

"YourNameHere replied to your post in this thread: blah blah blah"

I also don't like getting summon notifications in my own threads since that's a double notification for the same post. Same with summon notifications in favorited threads.

It would be nice to not have certain notifications... but probably hard to design a system where users can customize what they do and don't receive... especially if you want it to be really in-depth. There are a lot of variable conditions that people want or don't want to see things. Like Leggy not wanting to see replies in ALL of his threads... well did you just want a few? I don't think that works unless you could disable replies to all threads and then favorite the 2-3 you care about and leave replies to favorites on.

i hate the ones on my profile i get overflow on my profile for exaple i get 100 messages a day 100 messages = 100 notifications and the problem with it being annoying i would love it
